Yeah did look good going forward though, that cross he put in for Cash missed header was excellent. For me would depend on what kind of fee would be involved and whether we’d be looking at a big contract. If we could get him on a fair contract with appearance based incentives then yes otherwise not worth the risk

I agree. 4m is too much of a gamble for an injury prone player like Byram.

I'd sooner put 4m towards a decent striker/winger and shove darikwa at rb....

We certainly will not be paying 4m for Byram, and neither will anyone else for that matter.
He only has one year remaining on his contract to start with, which reduces his value; West Ham have around two months to sell him because once the window closes his value plummets to zero.
His injury record is not great, which also reduces his value.
So, it looks like a heavily reduced fee or another loan spell for him, either option should suit us.
I would have him in the team on crutches rather than Darikwa, who is a walking disaster area.
