Who do we want then, Betis or Midtjylland?

Games are on 12th and 19th March, we will be at home in the first leg.

Betis for me.

Midtylland can be physical and possibly cloggers I suspect.

Betis should hopefully be 2 good games of football.

Betis is 2 evenly matched sides and think we are 50:50, they get home leg second.

Forest are a better team than Midtjylland and physical cloggers shouldnt be a factor if we deal with them properly which we totally failed to do the first time. Think we get it right next time around.

I've just listened to VP's post match reaction. So refreshing for him to take the blame himself and support the players, rather than Dyche/Ange approach.
Bold changes at half-time, and a very aggressive playing style, rest of this season isn't going to be dull !!!

My personal feeling is some of our squad are not upto the task of being ask to sometimes plays out of their best position to help the team out. Murillo playing left back and he certainly made sure it wasn't his best position and showed it.

Sniffer, regardless where we end up at the end of the season, do you think EM will ask Edu to leave? we the fans have now had the chance to judge him, honest reply please.

Disagree that fans have had a chance to judge him (though they certainly are anyway).

You don't judge someone who's job it is to set strategy after one season.

OK Arsenal haven't won the league yet but they've been close for a number of seasons now. Would they have done that if their fans had got Edu booted out after one season? We'll never know of course.

SR we can only judge him on what we see and it's not been good in my opinion (this is a forum). EM is very impulsive and is more like a fan then owner therefore he reacts accordingly, hence my comments regards his facial expression last night to events on the field he looked very unhappy/worried.

Cunha is a young lad pleased he got some time and did ok.

There is always a drop off when you leave 5 or 6 first team regulars out of a team.

Always, at every club.

I know you have your agenda that recruitment is S**t but it is not so black and White.

McAtee is not a winger and I don't know why he was stuck out there last night.

Judge him when he gets a chance to play in MGW's position and with the same quality of players that MGW has playing around him. Don't judge him stuck out on the wing with lesser quality of players around him because of so many changes.

I've said I've watched McAtee plenty of times for England U21 and mentioned early doors Elliot was the one we could have got on loan. He's not there.

No agenda sniff, opinion matey. One that's shared with a lot of the fanbase.

He was here mate.

We spoke to him but he declined to join us.

He had concerns that our playing style at the time didn't suit him.

That decision backfired on him! He really should've anticipated our fourth manager would suit him...

We have just qualified for the last 16 of the Europa League.

Can we talk about that?

Some people think because we beat them 3 nil over there we should've won by at least 5 or 6 nil at home but we did the right thing and did squad rotation because of the workload we have and some are quite blinkered and don't see we're through to the last 16.

We were correct to rotate but I think Vitor got the formation wrong with too many out of their natural position, we all knew Murillo isn’t a left back, VP didn’t until last night, its the problem with having a new manager at this stage of the season he is still finding out about his squad.

The reason some people are having a go at recruitment yet again (yes it is boring now) is because a lot of money was spent with the intention to have a squad that is strong enough to compete in multiple competitions this season. Unfortunately that seems to have failed, whether some will come good eventually is a different debate.

I think this game was the chance to experiment in a different formation if we weren't going to start two full backs. Basically the same team with maybe N'Doye or Bakwa at LWB.

Seems unlikely we'll get another opportunity to rotate like that again this season.

Again, EM’s plan was to build a squad that could compete in multiple competitions this season. Whether realistic or not that meant a top half finish and I reckon he genuinely wants to win the Europa league. Edu was tasked with delivering that ambition and was given a big budget to do so.

We all know what’s gone wrong on the manager side of things but there also is a harsh fact with the squad that we have a core who are good enough, the rest are not delivering when called upon with the result we went out of the 2 domestic cups in the first round, stuttered in the Europa when rotating and struggling badly in the league. Yes some may well come good eventually but that wasnt the plan and wasnt why we spent big.

Im pretty sure EM will judge the entire set up in the summer, just need to hope we do so from a position of strenght as a premier league club.

I hope UEFA ban them from European competitions for a year or two as punishment.

But we all know it will be Forest that get punished for allowing their fans to bring pyrotechnics into the ground.

Absolutely disgusting by their fans.
