Nottingham Forest - Brentford

Didn’t think we were that bad, just conceded 2 really poor goals although I thought we showed some warning signs from set pieces earlier in the first half we were scrambling around.

Ref was diabolical for both teams.

The comments about lack of strength in depth hurting us are unfortunately fair. Going to have a media black out of national football coverage I reckon so I don’t have to hear them gloating about bubbles bursting.

Gutted. Was not nice to hear a few giving Aina,MGW and Murillo/Milenkovic abuse in A block. A few tempers frayed with the frustration as people turned around to suggest getting behind the lads.

They were poor tonight, but have had immense seasons.

Feels like we're really struggling. Combination of conceding poor goals and not scoring.

Hopefully some other results go our way this weekend, there's lots of chat about how we're not going to qualify for champs league and we turn up against a palace team with nothing to play for except the fa cup final!

I'll be devastated if we don't make champions league.

Me too. It’s not over, but they looked lost and running on empty tonight.

Unfortunately it does feel that unless we score in first 20 minutes or so we really struggle. Also although we want both elanga and cho to start, it leaves us so short on the bench when plan a doesn't work.

As much as I would love us to crack the top 5 and make champions league, this season has been brilliant and full of amazing moments. We should not lose sight of that

Probably around the time ola got injured.

The resulting team shuffling has disrupted us and we don’t seem to have the depth to cope

Big ask now against palace to turn the tide

Are Palace going to be full pelt 12 days before Cup final ?

Thought we’d bounce back tonight but they had a game plan that worked. Hit it he long diagonal to their wingers. It worked. Once 1 up flooded midfield and defence and then played to the wide channels. I thought Williams played well- nice to see Aina back but horrible mistake. Milenkovic at fault for both and Murillo is getting a bad habit of being caught under the ball - similar to Williams in his first season. Thought sels too is too passive on his line. Frustrating and also MGW and Anderson were trying almost too hard- rushed and bad decisions to hold when should pass and pass when should hold. Yates also seems to have caught the MGW flick disease tonight. We were too one dimensional in trying to go to elanga first half too often rather than play through the lines a bit. Wood was isolated but doesn’t work in a 2 with big T who had 2 air kicks. I feared that they would do an Everton on us and KO and behold it happened.
Brentford had a long old time to prep for this game and did a real job on us- they still have hopes for a European place. In fact they did to us what we have done to others so we really can’t complain.

In the cold light of day though our form has dropped off a cliff and I’m happy that we are away on Monday.
It’s easy in hindsight but Sangare has had two decent cameos where he has looked composed in the middle and just wonder if he deserves a start.

Only thing that annoys me with Nuno is his lack of trust with Sosa and jota silva. Both I think have more to give. One of them should have been a straight swap for CHO but he brings on Dominguez which shut down our attacks from the right. I think Sosa in particular offers something as a winger.

4 games to go- need 9 points and hope Fulham, Bournemouth and Brighton fighting for 8th brings a bit of jeopardy to our rivals and that liverscum haven’t been on the piss all week!

We can still do this…

We all know it's going to the last game of the season. That's football.

I won’t be devastated if we fail to get UCL. One more win and European football is back at the City Ground, Hope City beat Palace and it is at least Europa.

It's going to be no fun if half the divison is playing in Europe. Looks like Man Utd or Spurs will be in the champions league. They've both been absolutely shite this season.

On the plus side, shows how winnable the Europa League is if we do end up there.
