How many times have we been stung by incompetence this season though? A dozen?
I don't think the club should've suggested Atwell cheated but the bias part? I think that's a fair challenge.
What's also interesting is the one questionable decision I can remember that went *for* us this season - the Burnley disallowed goal - was given against a 'smaller' club.

Bournmouth H, Man Utd A, Newcastle H, Brentford A, Brighton A, Everton A all have had ref decisions that have gone against us and potentially cost us points. Burnley H has gone for us and saves us a point. Can anyone think of any more?

Liverpool (the drop ball) and West Ham (Neco penalty not given) home too - though the latter thankfully didn't cost us.
I also seem to remember there was a foul that could've been given as a penalty late away at Arsenal. And you can argue (Dermot Gallagher agreed) that Maddison should've been sent off for Spurs.

It makes no sense to put Atwell as the VAR for this game due to his Luton connection. However, you could make a good argument for which result suited Luton better. Arguably they'd have preferred a draw. Particularly given they still have to play Everton.
No real reason for him to show bias either way.
This is where our argument falls down.
VAR is a team of 6, not just Attwell. Were they all Luton fans? Of course not.
Is Attwell incompetent like the rest of them? Absolutely
Is VAR killing the game (see FA cup semi) and should it be scrapped? 100%
Were the officials in charge yesterday biased/cheats? No. Thats too far.
Two key officials yesterday are known to be Luton fans: 4th official Stroud & lead VAR official Atwell. To put either of them anywhere near a match with such a critical bearing on Luton's relegation fight creates a clear conflict of interest. Forest claim that they flagged this before the match and were ignored by the PGMOL. That's the nub of it, despite the clumsy & inflammatory tweet. But even if Forest don't have proof of the warning, it still stinks. How is it possible that an organisation responsible for decision making that carries implications worth hundreds of million of pounds does not follow a basic conflict of interest policy? It's standard organisational governance that would raise serious questions were it overlooked by your average community interest company managing a few thousand quid a year.

He needs to be arrested.
If he was in Greece he would already be dead.

We are now getting the narrative that we never asked PGMOL to take Attwell off VAR, If they read the statement it says we 'warned' the PGMOL, So they are right but Forest never implied that.

We shouldn't have had to have asked! They should've realised the potential issue themselves.

Arse covering weaseling. They aren't denying that Forest flagged the issue. It's therefore either culpable negligence, or malign intent. No wonder Forest are considering legal options.

Thing is we never said we asked for a change only that we flagged the concern VAR official was a Luton fan. Forest and any other team don’t have the right to demand a change of official only the opportunity to flag a concern and then leave it to the PGMOL to decide best. Imo Clattenburgs discussion with PMGOL on Friday flagged the concern but PGMOL thought it not an issue worthy of making a change. All Forest are saying is we flagged the concern, PGMOL didn’t act on it and look what happened ?♂️

NEW: #nffc to make formal request to PGMOL for Var audio from Everton game. Forest still furious over the 3 penalty decisions and lack of Var intervention. Follows a similar move by Liverpool in October. Story to follow
