The Everton case starts tomorrow. It is a 3 day hearing and will be finished on the 27th March, So with midweek games the following week I think the result will be announced either Friday 5th April or Tuesday 9th April after the 6-8th weekend fixtures.
Thanks.
3 days so possibly more complex than ours? Hopefully that means any sanction will be greater than ours if guilty, especially as a 2nd offence!
You would assume it would be. Negative Trend in losses, Repeat offence, blatant disregard to the rules, Double Jeopardy won't run and that's why Forest have to stay within the rules this year.
This bit I find disgusting, both to us and Everton.
It is wrong that we are going to be punished for something we have already been punished for once. I suspect that will be the make up of the Everton defence also, so it will be interesting to see if they can overcome being punished twice for the same offence. If not, then it just shows how corrupt the PL really are!

This is thing if Everton got a bigger punishment then before than Forest will do everything to stay within the rules this time around. Will be interesting to know how much they will have breached by this time around.

Interesting article in the athletic discussing how we can stay within guidelines without selling Murillo or MGW
- extend wood contract save 7.5m; mangala £15m; sell two keepers £10m; sell Worrall 4m
That would keep us within and we don’t have to sell big names.
However I expect we will eventually sell Murillo to buy in 3/4 new players- but the June deadline is the tricky part unless we change our accounting date.

Not read the article but I don’t need to, to know that buying players is far easier than selling them.
I remember last summer people on here confidently predicting we would easily raise £30-40m from selling Dennis, O’Brien, Bowler, Shelvey etc.
We didn’t. We got £5m for Surridge and that was it. We couldn’t give most of them away.
No chance we get anything approaching what we paid for those 2 goalkeepers, suspect loaning them out is the best we can do.
Besides all that dont we need the money coming in before 30th June? Far easier said than done and its why the big clubs with money to burn will have us over a barrel for one of our stars.

What until we play our joker - the Take That concert, 26th May. They'll all be walking out with Forest shirts with Barlow on the back!

Yep, take the medicine, sell anyone we can to pass FFP this time and then we restart with a clean slate. Applies to whichever division we're in too.

Much as I would like us to, I hope we don't. Take our punishment, grow a pair, beat the system and give them a V sign at seasons end WHEN we stay up
^^^ Agreed ^^^
I'm picturing the fans singing the song already, just replacing '30 signings' with '4 points'...

Apparently changing the accounting date to August 31 might be an option
I can see most of the league doing that if it’s true (no idea)

Yeh we can change the accounting date to 31st July, I guess the downside to that is the additional circa 7-8m Wages by doing that.
So if we need to raise circa 30m profit to hit PS&R, that increases it to 38m by changing accounting period

If we appeal, it is unlikely to be heard prior to seasons end. So if we state intention to appeal but then manage to get safe, we can withdraw appeal.
If we go down by 4 or less points, then we can throw our "hail Mary" by pursuing the appeal.
However, I think drawing a line under it may be the best way to unite everyone behind the only thing that really matters-picking up points ON the pitch. No more uncertainty or distractions.

Sky went through a timeline with what happened if Forest appealed and the result would be given by the end of April

Will we find out today if we have appealed or not?
