The FA must say now what punishment they seek. Otherwise they are just fixing the league.

I accept that ultimately the buck stops with the owner and EM is man enough to accept that too. However when you employ someone like Randall to do a specific job which he may have failed to do then it looks to me like EM may have been let down somewhere along the line. Having said that like Forest1970 said above we haven't officially been charged with anything yet.

Giraldi was the man in charge last season, and oversaw the January window that did for us, that’s probably why he is no longer here. Then there was the mysterious influence of Charnley last season. I have no proof but I simply do not believe anyone who tells me he had nothing to do with the 2 ridiculous deals we gave Newcastle. Just to clarify there was nothing wrong with the idea of signing either Wood or Shelvey, its the money we spent (that we obviously did not have) and the contracts offered that were the problem. And before someone says it, I don’t care if Cooper wanted them he should’ve been told sorry but no.

Charnley was just in a consultancy roll and I very much doubt he had any say in transfers etc.
Wasn't Randall employed to specifically make sure we don't fall foul of FFP etc and that we keep within the rules?

In all his interviews he said we were scrupulously following P&S rules but whether he knew diddly squat about it I don’t know. As Ive said before I don’t blame the club for the strategy of sailing claose to the wind because we did what was needed to keep us up. So the strategy is fine but I think we can point fingers at some individuals who let us down. Its just too much of a coincidence for me to believe that Charnley didn’t at least act as an intermediary in those transfers. Whoever signed off on them they were terrible deals for the club.

He has no power or decision making and wasn’t involved in transfers or contracts. As for the lawyer QC side - Shows how bad Randall was they have had to bring in someone proper to fight the charges.

One of the main people to blame would be the (unofficial) sporting Director and some of the wayward decisions he has made regarding incoming players.
We also have to factor in, it didn’t look good paying millions for 2 players to send to Oly for them to be discarded by them just a few months later and we were stuck with wages for players we didn’t want and now can’t get rid of. It didn’t help our cause either that we have been reported by agents and players for unpaid bonuses. After saying that, still hate FFP and the owner should be allowed to spend money if he wants, only caveat is to put the money on a bond with the FPL if shit I’m hit the fan. For example put a bond in for annual wage bill for 3 years.

I wonder if DT will have the balls to bring up Randall's name and roll in all of this.

Looking forward to the EPL comment today…
BTW agree with all the above - Charneley, Giraldi and Randall.

He talked about how Randall wound every one up in the summer, especially cooper and Worrall and in the end Maranakis realised how bad he was. He had previously stripped him of anything to running club a while back anyway. Randall turned up for a game just before Christmas thinking he could just sit in the box and he couldn’t get a ticket in there or anyway
