Nottingham Forest - Luton Town

I'd like to see Taylor start giving Murray a rest. I think he looked good for the short time that he was on v Derby. Pretty confident that he'll come good for us over time and want to see him encouraged.

I think Taylors game would improve massively if he stayed on his feet instead of backing into the defender & falling over trying to buy a free kick.
It's a tactic that aint working & for such a well spoken & intelligent guy he doesn't seem to be getting it. Frustrates the hell outta me

i'm hoping that we may well have a 2 goal cushion after an hour and would love to see triple substitutions especially if Freeman is starting, but bringing on Lolley, Taylor and Mighten after an hour could give the team such a boost of energy and vibrancy

i'm still convinced, with our squad, everyone knowing there lines and well drilled in training, especially now with Sammy Ammy, Arter and pretty good quality already on the bench we gotta get everyone firing

Have to have an eye on the close season and next season so the emphasis has to be on Lolley, Mighten, McKenna, Taylor getting as good as they can be and really clicking with one another, and any players that will be here next season.

After Luton i can't see any risks or much rotation really happening for a while, CH tends to stick, i hope we aren't all wondering why loans playing 90 mins every game if there is a big chance we aren't going to have them next season and the better we make them look the more likelihood of this happening

Sammy might be brought back to LW.  But some may argue Freeman makes Forest appear more balanced.  Hughton seems determined to bring Luke to full fitness with game time.

Colback at LB?  Not happening.  Bong likely to alt' with Rib.

Yates and Sow recall.  They formed a great partnership to begin this run of 2 losses in 15.  But the progressive footballing of Garner and Cafu (with Krov' ahead of them...) has already spoken.  I can see Cafu getting rested and Yates coming back in was Hughton seems to favour Yates.  Likely alongside Garner.  (Yates on the bench would be my guess.  But if Luton represent a similar threat to Rotherham than expect Yates to start.)

Murray up front.  Lyle on the bench.

Krov' keeps his place.  Knocker in red hot form.  Keeps his place.

Jenks?  No chance.

Soh to replace Figs?  Against Luton, I would have thought Hughton keeps Figs.  He has persisted with him.  at his best, he can do this level of football.  But those criminal errors?  Blurh.

(Soh.  Though many, myself included...must wonder what Soh did wrong.  I thought he was decent.  He'll get his chance one day.)

SA.

Change 3 of the back 4?

Colback at full back?

Jenkinson anywhere near the first team?

The mind boggles..

Colback is one of our better players and used to play left back quite often at Newcastle we need to get him in the team again why not play him there
Similar with soh a quality player with good pedigree he needs to get in our team he is a class player
Late clough and Taylor used to say pick your best players
Come on you mighty Reds

This is the last time (according to transfermarkt.co.uk) that Jack Colback started a competitive match as LB

And before that he was started at DM or CM and the next time before 2 years ago I could find where he started as LB (according to transfermarkt.co.uk) was

Jack Colback is not our best LB I’d even say he hasn’t been a LB for 5 years.

Cafu has been a revelation. He is top in pass completion and is the engine room in our midfield. Undroppable for me.
