I have seen nothing from Taylor to suggest he merits getting the nod above Grabban other than Grabban has seemingly lost his goal scoring touch. His off the ball work remains very good though which is why I would stick with him. I admit to screaming at him for the 3vs 1 though.

Any striker who has lost their goal scoring touch should be dropped to u23 until he finds it.


I don't think that's fair on Taylor. We have only seen him play in a poor Forest team.
I watch Grabban and don't see great supporting play, he runs around a lot but doesn't hold ball up, rarely passes to teammates, currently he needs and extra touch, can't even shoot on target.

Now Taylor might be no better, but we should give the guy a chance. I suspect he will be better than Grabban, but if he isn't then know his fate in the summer. 
I do think that Murray will be 1st choice for rest of season and Houghton will have major work to do up front in the summer.

Taylor hasnt scored since 7th November vs Wycombe.
He has played 16 games since then, started first 8 games sub last 8, he has had plenty opportunities but for me he has rarely looked like scoring. You can of course argue that he is worth a start with our new more dynamic midfield behind him but imo has to show more in the chances he has had.

Yep I agree, but I'm inclined to try to be fair to the lad who's had a pretty shitty stay with us so far as the team around him has been poor and playing in a way which is clearly not set up to his strengths. We've seen flashes of talent here and there so I'm not yet prepared to write him off, especially as I think Grabban will be looking to leave in the summer for one last big-ish contract and he might be the only striker left standing.
