Look at Baide and Mir for example. They didn't manage to hit it off at Forest but are now Europa League winners and ripping it up in the top league in Spain.

Oh I dont know Sniff. Can you honestly say the likes of Diakhabi, Djebbour or Abdoun were anything but poor?

Yes but poor and pointless are two different things Tricky.

Djebour and Abdoun both had very good careers away from the City Ground. They were not crap players but for whatever reason it didn't work for them at the CG.

You win some and you lose some and it happens at every club.

Think there is a subtle difference. I was thinking more the likes of Hwang where it seemed obvious from day 1 he was never going to wear a red shirt and those signings of convenience from Oly.

Diakhaby, Bade, and Mir were all promising on paper and signed with an intention of improving the first team. The fact that they failed is more on the manager than those that signed them. Diakhaby just was poor, Mir I felt never got a proper chance, Bade? Well Cooper looked at him in friendlies but you have to question him why when there is clearly a player in there.
As Sniff says sometimes things just don’t work, you have a young lad in a foreign country, maybe he was just homesick.

As for Abdoun and Djebbour you can thank our previous owners ego for them, Abdoun had the worst attitude of any player Ive ever seen, was hilarious one game we had some chances when he would clearly have had a tap in to score but his teammates refused to pass to him.

And pun was clearly a decent player and probably an arsehole. There was a bit of self interest from some players including one of my favourites Reid that clearly was counter productive.

Another one that is debatable for this list is Lord Bendtner. Again he was was signed for the first team out of desperation rather than to make a quick buck but he certainly scores highly on the knobhead count and it was pretty obvious he was never going to work out.
Can still picture him sitting on the subs bench huddled under a pink blanket looking like he would rather be anywhere else. Think he is the main reason I was initially sceptical about the likes of Navas and Felipe coming in, thankfully they are cut from a different cloth.

Lord Bendtner, I was so excited when it was announced. How disappointed was I very shortly after?
