Wouldn't suprise me if they were still looking at relocation options. Even with the new stand built at the CG, currently the place is going to be selling out every game.

Could be part of a PR exercise - just too expansive and difficult to renovate so new ground. Then again they have spent shedloads already!

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Reds73 - 06-10-2023

All the noise from the ex chairman to the new chairman regarding the CG being our home and we won’t be leaving etc.
Can’t see any way that we leave the CG personally.

I hope so but it’s not the most cost efficient I’d imagine…

I am against a move under any circumstances.

Both.

Sentiment explains itself.

I am against the logic of given up one of the best and most iconic locations in world football just to make a few dollars more.

Best solution is to knock it ALL down and start again, turn the pitch 90 deg (similar to TH) no issues to overcome!

Other than the issue of not having anywhere to play. Would mean at least a year of home games at Notts County or Leicester.

Spurs also spent a fortune on their ground.

Try telling that to the council.

1bn was spent on I think, not solely by spurs some came from khan and the Jacksonville jaguars others from hedge funds. I’m sure the last time I read it they were like 600m in debt?

From Percy's article today:

"Off the field, Forest are transformed. Future plans for the City Ground are set to be unveiled soon and said to be “exciting”"
