I'm celebrating so only want to whisper that our 2 full backs today are not nor will not be good enough to help us be promoted next year. They both allow far too many crosses to come in to our box and their ball distribution is weak.

True enough. Depends what you want from a #10 I guess. Ideally, I want him opening up stubborn defences and keeping the ball, linking up attacks and looking dangerous on the break. He did some of this for 15 minutes really well. Defending from front should is a given under Hughton. A 37 year old managed it.

yes, was thinking of Knockeart in a totally positive way, he has generally been the source of pure class that has made the ultimate differance
i watched a Norman Wisdom film yesterday and in the best possible way there was a slightest reminder, though looks wise and everything considered i think he could pull off the most amazing Charlie Chaplin impersonation, some of his expressions and general tomfoolery are somewhere out of the Wisdom/Chaplin archive
well he certainly does perform in a variety of ways whatever the inspiration for his caricaturisation

Just reading through thread and yours jumped out at me. Agree re CBs and to an extent Christie but Krovinivic? Really? His daft shots, his falling over and at one point after 15 mins of 2nd half he had conceded possession every time he had the ball after the break. He does run around a fair bit- certainly did notice this- but doesn't regain possession at all.
Conversely, when we had our really good 15 minutes in the 1st half he was very prominent with some nice link up play and passing to the wide men
I think hes an enigma still. I really desperately want him to be great in that role, opening up defences etc, but I'm not sure if he has created a single scoring opportunity other than on his debut? Hopefully, he will get into a good rhythm and we will see more of the good stuff for longer periods.
MOM though? Not for me.
I was thinking this too, can't remember him creating too much although he's generally involved earlier in our best moves. I wonder whether Cafu will get pushed up there to allow Yates to return at some point or perhaps give Freeman a chance in that position.
Hopefully, we'll be reasonably safe soon and cab experiment for next season. Also give mighten lots of games (although he wasn't amazing today, goal aside) expect he won't play against Rotherham

Cafu has become the player I thought we were getting. The improvement is most welcome. It's made our CM more competitive and his permanent signing makes a lot more sense to any doubters.
I thought Cafu coming off was somewhat harsh. (Forest seemed to lose a bit of the 'cohesion' after he went off before kind of settling down again.)
He's played alot of games and perhaps he was tiring.
Though, according to Fray, he didn't seem happy about coming off.

I'm a big fan of Yates but he is going to have to wait for his chance to come again. Cafu and Garner (especially Garner) have nailed down starting spots, subject to injury, fatigue or a loss of form.
That's how it should always be anyway. Get your chance, play well, keep the shirt until you don't or get injured.

Thought the game as a whole was a really good game to watch, both sides having a go, really enjoyed it. An excellent win for us, the signs this week have been promising, I was worried about yesterday after all the effort we put in at Swansea.
However to a man I was pleased with the intent but we are improving slowly. Getting better on the ball, more fluid and move it quicker. Really good to see.
A big 3 games coming up, win them all and you can really build for next year.
