Thought exactly the same.

Hoped we’d rest 2-4 of them and then replace the players ahead of Sunday on about 60 mins.

Did think Cunha was good though.

I just can’t understand it. Hudson Odoi one of the better ones and fortunately got one today. But honestly when we were clean through I never expected a goal, not to mention the 50 other shots we’ve had in the last 3 matches.

Anderson and mgw, for all there hype, cannot hit it cleanly on a consistent basis. Hutchinson looks like a rabbit in the headlights when given a chance. Jesus can finish and has shown he can finish in europe but struggles for chances in the premier league. I feel he is a tweener striker - probably be too good for the championship but not good enough for the prem. That leaves Hudson odoi who we know can hit a sweet shot but is often too predictable and wood who has shown he can finish.

But this is not new. We were overly reliant on wood last season and when he stopped scoring then that was when the rot started. Not enough of our other players chipped in with goals regularly enough and that has persisted this season

RE: Nottingham Forest - Fenerbahce - The reds - 26-02-2026

These are professional footballers and they miss 1 on 1s that easily it is crazy. Should’ve at least been 2-2 today. 2nd half was much better other than the penalty which I thought was a bit soft.

The only acceptable team on Sunday

Ortega, Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams, Anderson, Sangare, CHO, MGW, Omari, Jesus.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Fenerbahce - Salvatore Matrecano - 27-02-2026

Another bizarre night in a bizarre season

Thoughts.

Line up was a direct result of having 4 managers and the current one who doesn’t fully understand his squad yet.

First half was shocking, as bad as anything we have seen but unsurprising given the changes and so many out of position.

The half time changes were exactly the right ones. The 4 who went off were all terrible. Did Yates play with a broken finger?

At 0-2 down we actually managed the game very well. But its hard to get momentum back when you don’t have it to start with.

Surprised how many seemed happy with a 1-2 defeat against a poor side. To play Rockin at the end was a bit much. EM was there and didn’t look impressed.

Yet again once we don’t have our first 11 on the pitch we look poor. There is a massive burden on just a few players to see the season out over 2 competitions.

We still look toothless up front.

Let’s hope it doesn’t rain on Sunday

We’ve used dom on the wing a lot this season and this game it’s mcatee when he should be in the middle

Also not a penno I don’t think I’d be angry if it wasn’t given to us if it was the other way round

The forward tripped himself.
Never a Pen

Watched on catchup. Gash performance , crap result on the night, another loss. Good overall tie result. Lucca....wow....poor. Golden opportunities missed. Brighton will muller us if we put in a performance like that.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Fenerbahce - Chicago - 27-02-2026

Morato is f*****g awful. Cunha is good. Very Fast. Very unlucky for the penalty. McAtee kept going round in circles and backwards. Lucca makes me yearn for Taiwo. I mean what the hell has the big fellow done to be replaced by this donkey. Yatesy was terrible too although dislocating his finger probably wasn't on the cards and Murillo was showboating and getting caught all over the place.

We were terrible in the first half. Better in the second but boy was that much harder work than it should have been., Anderson playing the whole game wasn't optimal but at least he didn't get a yellow which would have discluded him from playing in the next game.

Aaargh we are so frustrating... Anyway through to the next nailbiting round. Really need to be better against Bright one.

Chicago: Watching the game in the middle of the night.

It’s not just ‘finishing’, but a general inability at striking the ball cleanly with decent power on target. If you give a player in the Premier League a shot at goal within 20yards at goal that should be real danger. But when it’s us I feel like when I’m entering euromillions!

And we are going to get 100m for a player that cannot hit the target from 20 yards. Football gone mad.

In a strange way I enjoyed the game.

Through to the last 16 of the Europa League.

Who would have thought that possible 4 years ago.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Fenerbahce - DeesideRed - 27-02-2026

At least we are putting this second string debate to bed now. 4 managers have confirmed they're just shite. McAtee has had chance after chance, Bakwa is so bad he can't even get on the pitch. It's been a disaster.

Cunha is a young lad pleased he got some time and did ok.
