If this doesn't get the green light today then I'll begin to think it never will.

It'll go through. There were 2 or 3 councillors objecting but they were locals from Bridgford/Lady Bay I think. They have to object as they need re-electing next time. The majority of councillors not from that local area will pass it through.

Hows the discussions going?

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - jurgen rober - 28-07-2022

Taking it's time - updating by Sarah Clapson in the NEP. They have just taken a short break but still a long way to go by the sound of it.

There will be loads of other planning applications that need deciding upon as well as the new stand re-development this afternoon.

I have been in planning meetings that have gone on until 6.30 in the evening.

It all depends on the nature of the plans in place, whether there are any legal planning matters to be dealt i.e. enforcement orders etc, which can take their time also.

I wish some of the councillors could be more succinct and direct.

if i'm right in think the main stand was always going to be a 10,000 seater stand. the remaining 3,000 is going to in part 2 of the ground plans in getting the bridgeford stand updated.

Yes but there is scope to build a larger Brian clough stand too… there are improvements that also wouldn’t need planning such as development at the back of the existing stand to allow for concessions etc. the Trent end and Brian clough corner is also an area that could be expanded but not easy…
Bridgford cannot without knocking down properties on roseberry avenue which incidentally the club own but wouldn’t get permission to knock down with CURRENT legislation.
