RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 07-08-2019 Fair enough Pap mi owd but the last two managers didn't want to work with Modesto and Dourekas but Lamouchi is happy to work with them. I think it's a major difference and one that will probably buy him more time providing we are at the top end and challenging. Yep, if that's the way the club want to go then fine, lets give it a go, we have nothing to lose. As you say, if he's compliant then it might be to his benefit - he might get a whole year! Can't believe MoN was prepared to come back and work under those conditions. It was never going to work. You cant teach an old dog new tricks. Keane obviously wasn't prepared to work in that way either. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 07-08-2019 It’s not about being compliant. It’s about being able to deliver in the circumstances. I like Lamouchi (finally made up my mind) and I reckon he will get a longer stay at the club then many think providing of course that we are challenging at the top end. EM tried to take him to Olympiakos before they got Pedro Martins and EM also tried to get Lamouchi as far back as December at Forest when Karanka first threw his toys out of the pram. So our owner really rates him and head hunted him. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sabricadabra - 12-08-2019 I like him too. He’s a proper hands on coach who is not only shaping the team but is also trying to develop individual players. I have a feeling that to begin with he is focussed on a disciplined team shape and defensive solidity. We haven’t given away many chances in the past couple of games even though we have faced tough opponents. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 12-08-2019 Leeds has 15 shots and three clear cut chances. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 12-08-2019 That is true Username but I don't remember Muric having to pull off any saves of note. I think he was fairly will protected. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 12-08-2019 Agreed. As I said on the match thread it was more down to Leeds profligacy in front of goal. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - the jock - 12-08-2019 we have 5 more games this month and then a two week break to work on the things on the training ground. the more time the manager gets to work on this team the better we will become. would be fantastic if we picked up 6 points against birmingham and charlton. i wouldn't fancy dawson playing both at his age. Exactly. 3 clear chances isn’t many in 90 mins. You’d only expect a team to get one goal from that on average. Other than a period after half time when they scored and seemed to be getting on top, we dealt with most things they threw at us. To go away to the Championship favourites and restrict them in the way we did was a job well done in my opinion. The 15 shots is one of those nonsense stats. It includes hits that are so wide they’re nearer the corner flag and trickles back to the keeper. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 12-08-2019 I think in hindsight looking back, Leeds weren't the exceptional team I feared they'd be. And we weren't as poor as I'd feared. It was a backs to the wall performance from us, but the game's about defending as well as attacking and I thought we put on a pretty good show in that regard. How many times did Cloughies teams go away and defend a result? Lots. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 12-08-2019 But your point was Leeds didn’t have many chances whereas 15 is clearly plenty. |
