I dont give a toss that we lost last night Pap, you are correct that was always going to happen.
The point is every year we kid ourselves that we are going to mount a promotion challenge and every year we are miles short. What DJ is saying is that if we have serious aspirations of promotion we need to change our approach in so many areas. The most sobering thought is that for all Norwich get right they will almost certainly struggle in the PL again next season.

Firstly, I just posted on another thread my view that Norwich are as good as the division has seen in the last 3 or 4 years and that imo they might have a good season next season.
Secondly, as for progress, its clear we over achieved last season and fluked a good season. That suprised everyone at the club I think but Id argue that Sabri and Hughton do actually share a lot of football ethos. Its not like weve gone from a Warburton to a Warnock.
I just refuse to trash the club after a single defeat. And as for Jonno's comments, while I have some respect for him, his opinions are definitely influenced by his understandable bias towards his lad. Does anyone else seriously think Brennan was ready to play a regularly in our first 11 this season? No, he was not.

They didnt switch to cruise. The game was simply nore even. Yes, they were still better but they didnt stop playing and didnt slow down the tempo and close the game down. You're misrepresenting what happened because of frustration, which I myself shared at half time.

That’s fair enough Pap, but I and I’m sure a lot of other Forest fans not just on this forum don’t agree with the mantra of ‘we were always going to get beaten last night. If that’s the case there’s just no point in turning up, we might aswell have no ambition and cease to exist.
Hughton’s teams could at least give us a bit of fight and take the game to the opposition, but sadly overall they don’t.

DJ is talking about stability, having a vision, a football philosophy underpinning their choice of manger and their recruitment.
What has Brennan got to do with any of that?
Norwich are a very good 2nd tier team and the point is we should aspire to many of the things they do well because I would argue most of those things he mentions we do pretty badly.

That is the issue for me too. We should never leave the dressing room expecting to get beat. That is totally unacceptable. I am not saying that is what happened but I do have my doubts.

This is the issue with a dressing room that isnt particularly driven and a manager that doesn't appear to be inspirational- we were in the relegation area and the players appeared to buck up but now we're no where near the play offs they seem to have nothing to play for. Which in my view is appalling- every game should be a cup final as a professional.
However, if the ethos of the club is disjointed can we expect the players to be any different?

The problem is our games are over as soon as we concede a goal ie 10 minutes last night
We know this and the team does too
If we at least looked like scoring a goal it would be different
Why don’t we practice set pieces or corners ?
