Oh hell if we've broken the rules we deserve the punishment (whatever that might be) can't be slagging derby and Everton off one minute then complaining it's unfair the next..
I don't like the fact 2 of our 3 years is championship losses.. makes a mockery of competing after promotion.
Reckon most clubs weren't fussed if close to breaching until Everton got a points deduction

It pretty obvious what will happen.
Monday we will be named as having breached PSR but no details.
We will reject the charges and appeal based on we did not breach PSR with the Brennan sale and we only delayed it to get proper value on the deal.
The appeal will be successful because we did actually sell BJ (unlike Everton last year who lied and bullshitted) but we will be told to tow the line carefully in future.
And that is it...............
The media is lapping it up, as are the Direby fans and the Direby fans pretending to be Forest fans on X...............

Yeah the current academy rules are much worse and the parachute payments are so distorting the league meaning that it is very difficult for a team coming up as they will be stretched thin already. I agree on that, the rules don't work very well in this regard.
Better redistribution of wealth would be best for all clubs (apart from a small handful at the very top)
Look at the NFL, you can go from being the 2nd worst team for two years in a row, to winning in the playoffs the following year. I'm aware relegation confuses this but it does show that when income is redistributed you get a much better and more.enjoyable product. Hopefully a regulator would force this outcome.
Far easier with the NFL existing in only one country though. Anything that levels the playing field in the Premier League would weaken English clubs vs. overseas ones. And hell will freeze over before anything like a global salary cap or something is introduced.
European Super League would've had one...
Maybe that is the case but the PL is already the most successful league due to the redistribution compared to other leagues.

Hopefully thats the case. Be interesting if we have breached to see by how much and why. Can’t for one minute believe our current owners would knowingly breach the limits given they have always kept us within them. Can only think something hasn’t been allowed that we thought/had been given impression would be (eg discounting of promotion bonuses, BJ’s sale)

I am by no means defending Marinakis because he does deserve criticism for allowing us to breach the rules
But after promotion we were left with 7 players on the books Johnson, Cook, Worrall, Colback, McKenna, Yates, Smith - We had no choice but to sign players, 22 it was in the Summer - Some of the signings shouldn’t of happened and that’s why we have breached, but to go and sign 7 more in the January window was ludicrous when we probably only needed 3/4 max, Shelvey, Ayew, Lingard on big wages
It simply should’ve been avoided
Let’s hope we get as a minimal punishment as possible and good luck to De Marco.

I've not said any thing on this subject, mainly because my little brain struggles to understand FFP, PMT or PSV or whatever it is called.
I have been following the thread though and as a result, I am basically none the wiser.
How I understand it, we were only allowed to lose up to £30 odd million last year because we were in the championship the year before. But 17 other sides were allowed losses at over £100 million because they were in the PL? I guess Fulham and Bournemouth would've been allowed higher losses too due to them having parachute payments and previous seasons in the PL being taken into consideration? Surely then, to allow us to be able to compete against the established PL clubs, we wouldve had to spend big to bring in players of PL quality in order to allow us to compete fairly? Without the new signings at the start of last season, we just about had a team of players, not even a matchday squad, and some of them were shite! (See Horvarth, Hennessey etc)
Again, how my little brain is understanding the situation, so far, we havent actually been charged with anything. That is expected to happen later on today? If this is the case, surely we wont be given a penalty at the point of being charged with any breaches that may or may not have taken place? Surely the charges (if any) will be taken to a disciplinary hearing, which will then allow the club to defend itself? Even the all singing, all dancing PL cannot have the power to charge and punish any club or individual without them having the right to defend themselves? If someone is charged by the Police for breaking the law, the Police dont impose the penalty, that is in the hands of the courts! Surely the same has to apply with the PL?
If my assumption above is correct, then surely we wont know what or if we will be penalised with until a later date, to allow the club to get its defence together. A charge (or charges) is one thing, a punishment is completely different. So if we are charged today with any wrongdoing, surely we wont know anymore than that until a proper formal hearing has taken place. By which time, the club could be able to show it is aware it has dropped a bollock and has been doing something to remedy the situation (hopefully a large number of exits in terms of playing staff).
I hope the above is somewhere near to the facts of the situation, if not, my little brain is going to have to try and understand something that doesnt seem to make any sense at all

Yes he does need to take some criticism but he employs people to keep an eye on these things because he is one man and can can't do everything by himself. If we get stung then I would expect some money men being sacked by the end of all this.

If we so get stung then be disappointing and I suspect you are right that somebody will be out of a job.
As for the owner, my simple view is damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. We came up with the bare bones of a squad and had to buy players. Did we go a bit OTT/scattergun probably yes but we showed ambition and when bringing in so many players it was never going to be that all worked out. Didn’t see too many at Palace singing about the number of signings and staying up caring much about FFP that day.

Everyone had a part to play so all should shoulder some of the blame but saying that lets wait to see what actually happens because as it stands we haven't been found guilty of anything yet.

Seeing that we wouldn't know what our punishment would be until 3 days after the season finishes. Which would surely mean it would take place next season.
