RE: Nottingham Forest - Crystal Palace - Georgecloney - 13-11-2022

I thought our front three of Brennan MGW and Lingard  caused Palace plenty of problems yesterday. Seen a lot of fans criticising Brennans performance. I think that is very harsh. His pace is integral to the way we play on the counter attack, which is Cooper’s favoured approach at the minute. He gives MGW options in that false 9 position when we are breaking quickly. To me they are beginning to strike up an effective combination. They were involved in nearly all of our good chances yesterday. Palace have some good players and yesterday was a positive team performance and result. Let’s keep getting behind the team.

No outlet..........

We can destroy Spurs and then struggle again against Palace.......

Been thinking for a while you talk rubbish mate. This confirms it.

Huge win today and looked the best team against very good opponents.

Onwards and most definitely upwards with Cooper at the helm

COYR!

You mean like no Cook in defence for 2 games and we have 2 clean sheets?

Really - if petty little insults like this are "your thing" you are even more immature and uneducated that it seems you are.

The petty insult I apologise for. I was absolutely buzzing about yesterday’s performance and result as was every single Forest fan I saw leaving the ground. I struggle to see how anyone could find something to moan about hence my frustration at you.

1 shot on goal. 2 actually and we carved Palace open on numerous occasions, Lingard could have had a hat trick.

No outlet. The front 3 was very effective on the break, it was like watching last years team. For the first time it looked like we didnt miss that recognised striker.

Struggled against Palace. That’s demeaning to an established and very good Premier League team who are years ahead of us in our development and sat in 10th place before yesterday. I dont know what you expect, we are never going to play teams off the park and dominate games this year its just not realistic.

As for Cook I didnt get it either but you conveniently ignore the fact that our defence has tightened up massively and we have also had 2 clean sheets with him in the side. Cooper’s neck was on the block so he turned to those he trusted most whether we agreed with him or not.

I was very vocal about some of the summer transfers, Kouyate and Aurier I was convinced were poor signings. Both have been immense. I haven’t rated Freuler’s performances but he showed his class yesterday. Sometimes us fans dont know everything do we.

Ok. I was buzzing too about the win.........however whilst the defence did better, and Freuler had an excellent game breaking things up, we looked lost at times getting the ball out.

Defenders were lumping it forward and its coming straight back again as its 3 midgets against big defenders.

Johnson was much better; however his final ball was terrible far too often, making the wrong choices.

MGW is getting better and more influential and Lingard is getter better and Johnson is improving..........but having all three is not effective at creating chances............

We are getting better but we are nowhere near where we need to be yet.

Correct. We are one place off where we need to be-a pretty impressive feat considering the bedding in that's been required. I wouldn't call that "nowhere near.." tbh.

Front 3 were very effective yesterday. The lumping was mostly in last 15 mins...when Surridge was on anyway battling for every ball.

Palace have a really top front 3 themselves  yet they had very limited chances.

I rejoined twitter recently and some of the abuse supposed Forest fans gave Cooper after team sheet dropped was frankly embarrassing.

Cooper picked what he thought was the right team to get a result against a decent Palace side.

Turned out he was right and all the "know nowts" were wrong.

I said yesterday if you dropped Zaha into our side we'd be transformed. I've spent my life watching football with a big striker up top. I just cant get on with this false 9 business.

It depends how many players (and key players) they are losing. I've not been paying attention much to WC squads so not sure how we compare to other teams around us.

I think they only have Bella Ketchup going

Ha yeah I was the same with Aurier, thought he was done, garbage signing. Delighted to be so wrong! Kouyate has been better than expected although I thought he'd be solid but average.

We've dominated the last three games, restricting opponents chances while creating enough of our own, we just haven't been clinical as we could be. I'm excited for the rest of the season.

If Cooper survives the year I'll consider this season a success regardless of if we actually stay up. I'm excited to see if we can find the striker to take advantage of all the creativity we now have.

Need a striker option - surridge should have had more chances for me however if we could get a Davis clone that hasn’t got biscuit legs - we’d be set for me…

RE: Nottingham Forest - Crystal Palace - Username - 13-11-2022

Still think we should be looking at Gyokeres, scored an incredible goal recently and not the type of player we have.
