It's funny that because we took their place in the EL they now have a match on Thursday which otherwise would've been us! The fixture Gods shining on us so far.

Yup. Wood was just chilling in pre season. I'm not concerned about the second half as our squad is going to be much stronger next week.
Hopefully Spurs go in for Eze tomorrow and palace have a tough run on Thursday.

Wow they were poor.
MGW was just laughing at some of them.
I don’t think any of the three relegated teams from last season were that bad.
Decent performance from Ndoye and important for him to get a goal so early on in his career with us.
Exciting to see what this season brings but we will have much harder tests.

Great performance. Didn’t know what to expect today. First Half was fast and aggressive which was enjoyable. 2nd half was more about nullifying Brentford which we did bar the penalty.

After the Pre-Season we had scoring just once I was worried about today but after watching that first half which I thought was some of the best football we've played for along time and I wasn't worried about the second half as long as we didn't give up. When I saw that 1st penalty shout which you could see a mile off it was handball I thought oh God the big man will have a chat with the ref again.

We won first game in 17/18 but ended up finishing 17th so lets hope we’re better thwn that.
A stat I prefer, apparently today was the highest possession we’ve had to win a game since West Brom in 2022.

Anyway well done lads. Were we excellent or were they very poor? Suspect a bit of both.
Anderson and Gibbs White outstanding. Good to see Ndoye get a goal but want to see more from him.
Yes hopefully much better options in the squad soon, really need a back up full back.
