We need to focus on attacking with purpose and punishing Bournemouth who are bound to have low morale. Even the camera men were chasing shadows against City. Brennan has to start. Also: no such thing as a must win game in September in the league. Especially with so many players being bedded in still. I'd take a clean sheet. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - optimistic_red - 03-09-2022 If we are going to survive the Prem then it's at the City Ground where we are going to get the most of our points. We know that teams in prem are split into 2 or 3 groups, and teams in the 2nd/3rd group is where we must win at home. Otherwise it adds pressure. If we as fans stick behind team (as we have been) then I believe we can win this and many other games at home. We've signed a lot of good players and have a good manager. I would argue that it’s more important to get points on the board in August and September, especially against teams like Bournemouth. We should really have taken 3 points at Goodison and we’ve beaten West Ham which was a good result. Games against Spurs and City were always going to be free hits, but it’s teams in the bottom half that we need to be beating in order to start getting some momentum. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Paplane - 03-09-2022 Anything less than a win today is a poor result. You dont stay up by getting beaten, or getting a draw at home agaiant Bournemouth. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-09-2022 13 home wins against non top 6 clubs = 39 points = survival. Thats how I reckon we should be approaching it this season. We all know it’s a big game but we can lose and still stay up. EM will be expecting a win for sure. Add in some away wins/draws against some of them and it would turn out to be a very good season, but like you say. Minimum is trying to get those home wins against the non “top 6” sides.
