The determination deadline for the planning application has been extended by 3 months to Tuesday 19th Jan, 2021.

This is mostly due to further revisions with the residential element of the proposals as well as highways and other minor alterations.

Do we take this as positive - with the wheels apparently still turning however slowly?

Bit more on this:

The deadline for deciding whether the transformation of Nottingham Forest’s City Ground – including a 19- and 10-floor residential scheme next to the stadium – will get the go-ahead has been moved back again.

Documents seen by TheBusinessDesk.com show that the new date for the determination of the 248-apartment scheme has been shifted back to Tuesday January 19 2021 in order to accommodate further revisions to the building as well as highway alterations.

The two buildings are part of a £100m plan to extend the City Ground to a 36,000 capacity stadium, which was originally revealed last February.

There have been two previous extensions for determination – the first on February 28 and then on August 31.

A letter from Rushcliffe Borough Council’s principal planning officer to architect Benoy reads: “As you are aware we have been undertaking further discussions regarding the design aspects of the residential element of the proposal and are presently waiting further revised plans to be received and considered. We look forward to receiving this information and an update on remaining highways and other matters in the very near future to allow the necessary consultation with external consultees.

“In these circumstances I would propose that we agree a further extension of time and would suggest that three months is appropriate in the current situation. If the Borough Council is able to make a decision before then of course we will aim to.”

Highways are s106!

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Widdow - 30-10-2020

So it’s the council chasing this up and driving the extension. Benoy and club need to pull finger out and get them the revisions to get it back on track.

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - ozzyten10 - 30-10-2020

Looks like it widdow. Reads like you’ve had 2 extensions and we are awaiting the revised plans so get your finger out! Bennoy are probably awaiting instruction from The club...

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - ozzyten10 - 30-10-2020

It would be great to get this sorted and be a clear message to supporters that we are in good hands...

Shouldn't be read as them chasing the club up. Extensions to planning apps happen all the time when there's wholescale redesigns required, or further consultations are necessary. The council have to detemine the application in a prescribed timescale, otherwise they get penalised by the government . If they're awaiting information from the applicant, or say negotiations are ongoing then they usually send a request for an extension. It just suggests to me that there's an ongoing negotitation. If there wasn't they might have issued a refusal by now.

I think there is a meeting/deadline coming up one of these days if I remember well?

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Tricky - 06-01-2021

Surely any deadlines are going to have to be put back due to the latest covid restrictions back in place?
