Accounts for 2018/9 out today, if anyone who fully understands these things could give us a run down would be appreciated.
Headlines
Net loss £36M ( up from £22M previous year)
£23 M borrowed from owner
Wages 143% of income
Bought players for £22.7M , sales of £11M, outstanding liabilities of £4.7M in add ons
Outstanding loans £59M
Im not an expert but much of that looks pretty alarming.

I blame Karanka and his recruitment team for most of that wage bill. Think we have signed something like 45 players in the last 2 years. No surprise wages are high although I think the headline percentage has dropped slightly.

In all seriousness it's no laughing matter.
The shit that Fawaz left behind was far worse than anyone could have imagined. To say that the club was on it's knees is an understatement. It was one breath away from death.
I am not saying the present owners are completely blameless but the one thing they are guilty of more than anything else is underestimating and realising just how big the mess was at the club when they took over. It seems that Sam Gordon has now payed the price for that.

Which is why I'm concerned that the new owners are shaping us up in the way they are
Fact is mate the only player on the roster who's signed from the Fawaz era is Zach Clough. The situation we're currently in is very much of their own making.

More to it than the playing staff Alf. The mess inherited was so much deeper than that. There is a bigger picture to look at.

See I dont understand these things, profit and sustainability wise we dont look too bad. Rolling 3 year loss is only around £10M, So playing side isnt a huge issue, more the bigger picture of how much the owners are willing to invest (and potentially lose) in the club. The fact they are building a new stand suggests we should have few concerns on that side

For anyone wondering about Forest's #FFP status, I estimate they have no problems in being within the 3 year rolling loss limit of £39 million mainly due to player sales profits covering the day to day losses. #NFFC

Oh definitely mate, as a club structure overall I've no doubt that we've changed things round dramatically for the better there.

Forest's operating losses also mid table in terms of the car crash that is the Championship.. It's noticeable that club with the biggest losses Aston Villa was promoted & the only one to make a profit were Rotherham who got relegated
Norwich 4th also got promoted
Forest wage bill not excessive by Championship standards. Average weekly wage just short of £17k a week.

If we don't go up that'll be Cash, Worrall, Lolley and Brice gone. No worries about falling foul of ffp but it'll be a sad day if we cash in that lot.

I'm not sure his figures are right, he seems to have included profit on player sales twice.
This was from last year, 26m loss would leave us bang on the line, probably some exclusions from that for FFP but these appear to be dreadful accounts
