If Bournemouth play the likes of Moore and Billing then they've got a big, physical presence which that team would counter. It's certainly not an inspiring or creative one though. we spent 150M and we are worried about Moore and Billing? Something not quiet right here. Who would you play? I think the above will be the team apart from Kouyate. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-09-2022 We are at home to what looks to be the weakest team in the league. This is a must win. As to our team above I would prefer Boly straight in, not seen him but Im pretty certain already that Cook cant do it back at this level. In CM I dont see a place for Kouyate unless we are protecting a lead with 15 to play. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - northeastred - 03-09-2022 Think it's pretty obvious that Johnson Mgw Worrall Mckenna Yates Won't get dropped regardless of how they played, dennis has looked better in cameos than Johnson has in some full games.. we signed taiwo to use in the same role Davis was.. it worked against west ham. We played well. He got dropped.. we need a no 9 playing.. not 3 10s RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Paplane - 03-09-2022 Why's Kouyate a problem? Hes got more prem experience than anyone else in the squad and is a big unit. If Cooper fancies him for a midfield role then that's fine with me. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Paplane - 03-09-2022 I said all summer we needed a prem experienced midfielder in the middle. If that's Kouyate then great. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - pennhillred - 03-09-2022 I guess we'll know at 2pm, but if that is the team *big* questions need to be asked behind the scenes about news leaking. Richards' injury. Cooper's contract. Today's team. Rumours are one thing but stuff that undermines the club or puts us at risk is another. Just hope the team leak is false. Kouyate and Yates in midfield would be very uninspiring, if true. Full trust in Cooper to make whatever team we put out today work, we just have to beat them. To go out and win games I would prefer someone say who was the captain and orchestrater for a very good Serie A side and has over 40 caps for a highly ranked country. If only we had such a player. Up to him to show he can get into the penalty area and be that midfielder coming from deep. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - RyanR - 03-09-2022 Kouyate does have premier league experience, but he has never been one to show much forward passing ability and doesn’t offer any kind of threat. He’s best suited to a DM role where he can break up play and pass it to someone with more ability on the ball. I don’t think playing in a dynamic CM pair will fit his strengths. I think Brennan has easily looked our best attacker and the only one that's shown a capability to score. Thought Dennis looked average both times he came on. Your point on the system makes sense though. It does look more balanced with Taiwo (or Dennis perhaps) as the centre forward. My point against that would purely be based on Cooper. He wanted MGW a lot, so unless he was planning on dropping Lingard, in the current system forward is his landing spot. Based on his actions he believes this can work, perhaps he adjusts the system so Brennan is more central and the other two play in behind. Or MGW shows he can play in a similar role to Brennan. I thought they looked pretty good as a three against Spurs, Lodi should open up the left side more too. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Username - 03-09-2022 He’s looked our best because he’s been given the most time to make an impression. He was dreadful at Newcastle, he had two decent moments against West Ham (one of which was offside), he was the worst of the trio at Everton but (importantly) scored the goal, he looked lost at Man City. I’ve kind of blocked the Spurs game out at present due to alcohol and not yet watching the game back. |
