What ever, dress it up as best as you can, they still made us look shit finished higher than us, and still played better football than us. I'm not denying that, they had parachute payments, of course they were going to have a better team than us. Merely pointing out that I thought the pre-requisite was to have a more exciting style. If we get Cooper it'll be the same, like a Hughton sub, a like for like replacement. :D RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Strawberry Avenger - 22-08-2021 (22-08-2021, 11:38 AM)Madforit Wrote:(22-08-2021, 09:40 AM)wassy04 Wrote:(22-08-2021, 09:32 AM)Madforit Wrote: Steve Cooper will do for me, he had Swansea playing some good football and his team made us look very poor, likes to play fast attacking football. I'd hardly call Steve Cooper's football 'The Forest Way.' They had a striker. They've been well run for years. They've had their recruitment model in place for a long time. Their football looked 'negative' to me. The only looked better than 'ok' against us in the cup? Parachute payments etc. Apples and Oranges. SA. What a load of nonsense RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - wassy04 - 22-08-2021 (22-08-2021, 07:12 PM)Madforit Wrote:(22-08-2021, 02:13 PM)Strawberry Avenger Wrote:(22-08-2021, 11:38 AM)Madforit Wrote:(22-08-2021, 09:40 AM)wassy04 Wrote:(22-08-2021, 09:32 AM)Madforit Wrote: Steve Cooper will do for me, he had Swansea playing some good football and his team made us look very poor, likes to play fast attacking football. Why is it nonsense? (aside from the bit about them only looking ok against us, they crushed us haha) RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Widdow - 22-08-2021 Obvious ones and out of work Chris Wilder Eddie Howe John Terry My personal choice would be ian Evatt at bolton Plays good football, wants passing football. Got barrow promoted to league two. Then got bolton job. Had a terrible start but stuck to his principles and they went on a mega winning run when it clicked and got them promoted. But does mean compensation Also Michael Appleton David Artell Nathan Jones Neil Critchley RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - stirred - 22-08-2021 (22-08-2021, 08:07 PM)Widdow Wrote: Obvious ones and out of work Needless to say John Terry is a thick scumbag who should not even be considered for the job. RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - tugger2018 - 22-08-2021 What about Stephen Reid our coach with Andy Reid alongside Might be worth a go Then when we sing Reidy they will both feel loved RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 22-08-2021 (22-08-2021, 10:44 AM)GaribaldiRED Wrote: What about Steven Gerrard? He wants to run his clubs like an old school manager. RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - PsychoStooge - 29-08-2021 Take him in a heartbeat. Got Sheffield United playing some nice stuff and most importantly maximising the chances for players like Sharp, McGoldrick and Clarke (the second two not the greatest of Championship strikers) to score, I'd back him to get Grabban and Taylor doing similar, he'd make us better than the sum of our parts and that's what we badly need at the moment. I think he'd actually be willing to work under Dane et al. as well, he doesn't come across as too proud to admit that perhaps his downfall at Sheff came via less than ideal recruitment in the end. |
