3. Our unwillingness to give him a contract extension
4. The press briefing that an extension was being discussed and then suddenly not
5. The way in which the club handled the Nuno / Edu situation

You might want to take a closer look at what you’re dealing with!!
As you said yourself nothing is ever that simple at NFFC.

Im not remotely surprised and tbh it’s better we change now than having a poor start and yet another mid season sacking.
However the optics of 5 managers in 10 months is beyond shocking. If you’re a young ambitious player looking for a new club and you have Premier League suitors are you going to choose nice stable Brighton or the circus that is Nottingham Forest?

Oliver Glasner will succeed Vitor Pereira with the Portuguese head coach expected to leave Nottingham Forest.
Telegraph Sport understands that discussions are ongoing about Pereira’s future but the likelihood is he will not carry on.
Glasner left Crystal Palace at the end of last season, after their Europa Conference League victory, having run down his contract and turned down offers to stay.
Pereira’s departure would be a shock despite Forest’s remarkable turnover of head coaches in the past year.
Pereira was hired in February on an 18-month deal and steered Forest to Premier League safety following the sacking of Sean Dyche.
If he leaves then his successor will be the fourth manager brought in since Nuno Espirito Santo was dismissed in September. Since then Forest have also employed Ange Postecoglou, who only lasted a few weeks.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinikas is extremely ambitious and has invested heavily in the squad. Although Pereira did well in stabilising Forest in the Premier League there was huge disappointment at the way they exited the Europa League – which had been targeted as a winnable trophy – losing in the semi-final to Aston Villa, who went on to win it.
Glasner has been linked to a number of top jobs after it was confirmed he was leaving Palace, where he was the club’s most successful manager in their history having also won the FA Cup and Community Shield.
The Austrian was considered by Manchester United, before they decided to keep faith with Michael Carrick who had been brought in as a caretaker. He was also on Chelsea’s list before they hired Xabi Alonso.
