We will still get charged but someone mentioned a couple of days ago the Premier League don't want all the bad press with the glamorous title race.

Good on him if so, nobody is going to be a winner if everyone fights fire with fire. The only way to change things ultimately is for referee standards to improve and we cant change that overnight.
Agree but can’t help but feel there is an element of saving face in this by Webb.

All the other sides - palace, Brentford, Everton - who were down with us scrapping just a couple weeks away have pulled away. That second half against Everton we barely created anything; against an out of form spurs side, we created very little second half. After Wolves equalised, very little, crystal Palace the same.
This inability to create is not var. This dropping of heads is not a ref thing. We lack leadership on the pitch or desire.
Ultimately we have three winnable games to finish this season but if the players are going to feel sorry for themselves after this last week then we've no hope. Before that we've man city. If they cannot put in a blood, sweat and tears performance against city then we've no hope.
Control what you can control - var and refs are not one and ultimately I fear it is now just an excuse for abject performances

People shouldn't be denying the parts of VAR and refs either.
It doesn't have to be one or the other.
Players, coaches (past and present), owner, VAR and refs have all played a part in us being where we currently find ourselves.
No need to try and separate them it's a collective thing.
Not denying but it is not in our control.
And for those saying that had we got 3 or 4 points that we may have lost through var then we'd be a lot better positioned- true.
But had we also been better at defending set pieces all season we'd be better off... and we certainly wouldn't be screaming blue murder on social media, accusing refs of bias.
Var has been terrible (or at least the way it has been implemented... Forest have had the rough end of the stick on many decisions...but at the end of the day, the team has not been good enough for the amount that been invested. Too many have underperformed and there has been little evidence of improvement in any consistent way from the start to the end.
As said, the post mortem will be long and it will be damning
But we've got four games to save ourselves - 3 are ones we should be looking to win

Probably. But then why not just release the audio and the come out and say what we have done is unacceptable, charge us and say thats it done with ?♂️ Then they can get on with their title race.

So Webb wants to meet with the big man for peace talks and play him the audio tapes without them being made public. I've always been a suspicious type but this stinks of Webb knowing they've f**ked up big time and this has finally pushed EM over the tipping point and Webb wants to calm it before WW3 starts off. But some of the stories coming out about Attwell has been quite disturbing which is probably why Webb wants these peace talks. I'm proud of our team for calling these ""mistakes"" out and at some point other teams will be saying they wished they did the same but I guess other teams don't have the balls of EM.

Yes it was after being sent to the monitor by Darren England on VAR. Wolves fans were not happy and I do wonder if Attwell may well end up as being made the scapegoat in all this. Any reasonable employer after what happened on Sunday and the furore around it would have took Attwell out of the potential firing line until this all blew over for their own health and wellbeing. He looked dejected when sent to the screen and giving the decision.

It might work for games against the top sides where you have to stay in the game or you get murdered but for games against your equals you have to at least try to show some intent. Last season was last season, our first back in the prem. All that mattered was to finish 17th, by hook or by crook. It worked, Cooper had the balls to change his style after the Leicester away game. This season was different. There was more quality coming in and we had a platform from which to build from. It was a natural thing to try to be more progressive but Cooper couldn't find a way to do it. Nuno came in and changed the approach and we looked half decent. Then it all went wrong with injuries, afcon, var, psr.

I like your posts, you are generally balanced and well thought out but this seems to give Nuno a cop out.
Despite all of the points highlighted we’ve still not been good enough under Nuno as a whole. There has been no fighting spirit or siege mentality that should by rights be pretty easy to garner given the circumstances.
We’ve just become a group of whinging victims limping from defeat to defeat.

I actually think you're quite unfair on Nuno, the players and club in general. Things are not that easy, especially when you consider just how much has been thrown at them. It is demoralising and they are humans.
