The catch is keeping a 34 year old fit for a whole season, would prefer to have a reliable option on the bench so we can give Grab’s hamstrings a rest after 70 mins or so. I really wish Wassy would stop posting common sense. He's like the Sword of Damocles. SA. This is incredible, my love for the game is well and truly back. Loving every minute of it! RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 25-11-2021 I think we have come back down to earth just a bit now. Not his fault he only had one LB though (similar issue to the previous manager in that regard, he had even less LBs at one point!) RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 25-11-2021 Ive definately got a bit of a sinking feeling about performances now. We seem to have reverted to our true level, which is not bottom of the league, or top, its mid table. Lets just hope all at the club are just taking a little breather after their excellent recovery before embarking on a massive push in the 2nd half of the season. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 25-11-2021 Im wondering what morale is like with the players. Its a very realistic concern that Wozza, Brennan, Spence and Lowe could all be leaving in Jan. That would blow out any ambition they all may have of doing something, and result in more player churn. We're unlikely to sell both Brennan and Worrall in January, even if both are gone by the summer. Spence and Lowe will be replaced if we are forced to lose them, I still think it's reasonable that we sign both permanently. Lowe will be relatively cheap and whilst Spence value has obviously increased, you don't send out a player on loan to a rival club unless you really don't want them so even with a managerial change its not like he had loads of backing elsewhere. Just doing a dive into Cooper's results, the majority of the games have been against teams in a similar position to us. we beat Bristol, Brum and Barnsley. Only played two top 6 teams and got one loss and one good draw. I think it shows we had a difficult fixture list to start the season which contributed to our woeful start. Still a couple of friendly fixtures before the halfway point. The football has improved (predominantly when playing 3 CBs) and the team are creating more chances so that is a big positive for Cooper. He should also be credited for getting good results when the initial morale/form was low. Just got to get through the next 6 games without a LB/LWB. Cooper's results to date: (based on current position): Millwal (H) - Draw (10th) Barnsley (A) - Win (23rd) Brum (A) - Win (17th) Blackpool (H) - Win (11th) Bristol City (A) - Win (18th) Fulham (H) - Loss (1st) QPR (A) - Draw (4th) Sheff U (H) - Draw (16th) Preston (H) - Win (14th) Reading (A) - Draw (15th without points deduction) Luton (H) - Draw (12th) Upcoming fixtures: (to take us to halfway) WBA (A) - 3rd Peterborough (H) - 22nd Swansea (A) - 9th Hull (H) - 19th RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Strawberry Avenger - 25-11-2021 Cooper doing as well as any manager could with a '6.5' Summer transfer window. He's out performed for much of his short time here. As the current form table proves. Give the tools in January and it will allow him to take Forest top 6. We could be talking 5-6 players depending on loan recalls. SA. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 27-11-2021 Loved it as soon as WBA got the red card Cooper took off Figs and brought Mighten on. Such a breath of fresh air after Hughton. Agreed with Cooper's comments after the game that we needed a bit more belief, the game was there to be won. If Cooper finds the way to turn draws into wins then we might start troubling the top 6 who apart from Fulham and Bournemouth look very average. Such a breath of fresh air after Hughton. Coops is a much more positive character even when he talks of his disappointment with a performance as he did last night. Agree that play offs are possible but to achieve that we will need more composure with our passing. So many times last night runners had made great positions but the ball was not delivered. Grabban I'm afraid was amongst the worst offenders. By the way Fulham the other night v sheep looked very ordinary. They had no Mitrovic or Cairney so looked weak. |
