Well in that scenario, the bookies odds would adjust for that which would change the projections. I'm sure our % would go up, likewise if Bowen or Summerville went down I'm sure West Ham's odds would get worse.

Also, if we continue in the EL and rack up lots of extra matches I think bookies will adjust their opinions of our chances to win games and projections would go up.

Wassy bookies do not play football games in the PL just make money off most punters.

Forget trying to predict each game - it’s virtually impsssoble.

Over the last 5 games, 10 games, 15 games and 20 games, we are basically averaging a point a game.

So the chances are we can get to 38 points.

We need Pereira to get us to 40 points.

I don’t see WHU getting more than 38/39 max

It’s going to the final game

What I can say is that we have performed two good games in the last 4 days. Under Dyche we probably performed once every month and by the end not at all. Obviously losing the point was difficult to take yesterday but it is time to move on and look forward. I believe we can stay up.

Exactly, because they know more than punters so I'd listen to them

Wassy I think you have missed the point matey. Reds73 is correct you just cant predict any game, yesterday for example? Fate certainly stepped into to deny us all 3 points if not just one, it will be like this until the end of the season but as I said the odds are now stacked against us, we need somthing to drop in our favour!

Opta is neutral and backs up what we've posted so far I'd say.

West Ham - 71%
Forest - 23%
Spurs - 5%
Leeds - 2%

Yeah they had us at about 93% or something silly to qualify for the CL with 8 games to go last season. That went well.

Yeah so 7% chance of failure, which we sadly took. We know that was a pretty big collapse.

Argghhhh, the odds are not stacked against us, that is literally the point of this whole conversation!

Its in our hands and right now still in our favour just but its close.

This thread hurts my head to read.

This is where we are statistically. Can it change? absolutely.

Anyone who's witnessed an odds-on fav fall at the last or remember only few months back Qirat, a 150/1 shot who was the b*****d pacemaker for the 1/3 Fields of Gold romped home as no-one bothered to catch him.

RE: Are We Going Down? - Jimmygordon - 24-02-2026

Opta says we will stay up by 4 points and a still a 23% chance of relegation.

Call me old fashioned but I don't do opta, xg and all that codswallop.
