Too many poor decisons at all levels in the club this season. The premier league is a place for elite clubs and we're just not been that. Recruitment, managers, players have all been poor. As has been the owner's decions.

That’s the team that qualified for Europe bar Elanga and Wood. So tell me why with all those internationals are playing like a Sunday league team chucking it in the box all the time.

We had this under Hughton, I’ve said it all season. Terrible coaches make players look bad. Those players are not terrible.

To some extent you've hit the nail on the head by the two players we are missing. Had we not had wood and elanga in the team last season we would probably be in a similar position to now. How many points did those two add last season?

It’s not about those 2 players. We never played like this last season. And if Nuno was still in charge we wouldn’t be playing like this. It’s fundamentally a clueless approach to playing football from the past.

I don't know... Towards the end of the season under Nuno we looked pretty bereft of ideas. We were heavily reliant on those two for goals and then our back five to hold firm.

Our form since last April has been pretty shocking.

Yep and continued for another 20+ games under different managers..whats the common denominator..

Senior players are now in the boardroom talking to EM and other, is this it?

We definitely got a head of ourselves in the summer and thought we were established as a premier league club but you only have to look at clubs like Leicester to see how quickly that can fall apart. The reality is we had an exceptional purple patch of about 25 games in the last 3 and a half seasons where we went from relegation scrappers to champions league challengers. Many assumed that meant we were a made club and a permanent fixture in the league that could expect that each year.

No one at the time was really critical of our summer business because on paper it looked like we had strengthened and brought in depth. Unfortunately too many of those signings have failed to make an impression and instead we alienated the manager who had clearly made his mind up about the direction of the club.

Unfortunately this may have undone the work of the last five years if we are relegated and we know how challenging it can be to bounce back from a relegation. The championship is unforgiving

To answer the OP, yes it looks like it now.

I believe we are down unless we can get a manager who can get the players playing with freedom. If we stick with Dyche, definately but I think we are gone regardless.

Four managers in one season is horrendous. Won't be a surprise if we do go down because the players won't know if they're coming or going.

The future ramifications of this season could be unthinkable.

Yep, the churn of players leaving, psr pressures, no consistent manager. It's all a shambles. We could be in league 1 in 18 months time.

Or we could be playing in the Champions League!

I think after weathering some contrition these next at least 3 games are gonna be important, but those around us haven’t got it good, we beat palace and then they’re fighting those that could go down with them

Thought I’d look at what pts everyone has got a know it’s a bit early but still should give an indication

Spurs = 1. Play their 4th game today will probably update this later

Palace = 4. Also play their 4th today

Leeds = 6. Everton was the last game of the weekend

Forest = 2. Also play our 4th today

Wham = 5.

Burnley = 4.

Wolves = 2.

The theory that if we continue to play as well as today we stay up is flawed. Its the lack of goals that will relegate us.
