The memory is a little hazy cos it was crazy times but I'm pretty sure it was 22 players in the summer window.....

1 of those can be considered a player we could've done without but worth a gamble (Lingard),
1 was DOA (Omar Richards).
I'm sure I recall Sky & Talkshite including a 16 year old kid that we bought for the academy (can't remember who it was tho). I guess this might be where you get your 29 players from but 30 is still the number that's thrown around by everyone cos ya know, S**t sticks.
a few were U21 & not counted as squad members

We then bought a further 7 players & loaned 1 (Navas) in January due to barely being able to field a full team (remember how many players we had injured that season??!!)

So not really THAT extravagant considering the situation we were in.

Now isnt the time, need to focus on the football but there needs to be a proper inquest in the summer how we got into the current situation and make sure it isn’t repeated.

For reasons Im not going to go into now I don’t agree with your argument. However ask yourself what could Forest have done better re recruitment particularly in summer 22 to not end up in the mess they did.

Well yes I'm sure there are a lot of things they could've done better with hindsight but let's not forget they had a month to sign more or less a full squad capable of competing in the Premier League with loss allowances a fraction of every other team in the league having been bottom of the championship only 6 months prior & with only 1 window in between (at which point we were mid table).

Even Man City, shopping in Harrods, buy the odd dud so with us shopping in the Poundland bargain bins I would expect a much higher failure rate than we actually had. To expect no poor signings or no mistakes to be made is hugely unrealistic.

In a nutshell we were victims of the speed of our own success.....but, you're a Forest fan, you know all this so I don't really understand why you're being so negative towards the club. We are evolving, if you want instant success then you're going to be disappointed.

(My apologies if some of this doesn't make sense, just come off a 15 hour shift & I'm absolutely brain dead)
