Genuine question... if we leave him in place and say let's see where we are at Christmas then by that point our season will be outlined. With a win % of less than 30 the stats would suggest a season of struggle. OK yes he may sign another 4 right backs before the window closes but we are trusting him to turn this around.
Reading his comments about Yates and colback in the post this morning it sounds very helpful like, as predicted, he will be sticking with them. Garner played for united in a friendly yesterday. We don't seem to have any other options in that area. It doesn't work. It didn't work for sabri and its not worked for CH.
I don't like CH never have. I hate his brand of football but will support him whilst he is here. But how long do we realistically give him?

We give him this entire season unless there's a real crisis point similar to what happened with Sabri. That gives this new recruitment team & CEO time to bed in under the steady hand that is CH. It also gives CH time to see if he can work in the way the club is going. This time in 12 months both sides will know a lot more about the other. That may not be what you're wanting to hear but someone has to be given time and space to turn the ship around. We've been heading in the wrong direction for 25 years. We're going to have to have some patience as we seek the new way.

I was thinking last night if it were likely that another small emerging club, say Luton or Coventry, would be promoted ahead of ourselves. I think it is likely but only tolerable if we're heading down a route that it's evident eventually results in success.

Bradford
Charlton
Portsmouth
Wigan
Have all been in the premier league since we were last there. Was that acceptable?
Watford, Burnley, Reading, Hull, all historically smaller clubs have done it too. Every year we are told we are on a route to success.

Also, he's not in charge of recruitment, please stop blaming him for this.

Agree the season is his to make his mark on the team and prove he should be here. You never know new signings might be what he needs to feel he can change the current match plans as things stand he doesn't believe the players he has can do anything else. We just want to see we are improving this year. Don't care about going up just want to see we are going the right direction.

So Sabri was sacked for having no win in 10 and losing the opening 4 games.

This is how I see it, you can't work with what you don't have. The central midfield looked a lot stronger last year with Garner. Do people really expect Fornah to suddenly come in and play to that level?

Yes he is. The recruitment team give him options he then assessed and decides who he wants. He said as much in his interview this week.
So the recruitment team give him the players to choose from he has decided that right backs is something he wants. The club then honour that. I refuse to believe that the club are just giving him right backs to choose from.
Ultimately the player brought in to the club will have been done on Ch say so.
