Now its wide open. Definitely some tinkering needed / going on.

Think that is a combination of the opposition and being home or away. System doesn't look well suited to playing at home against potentially weaker opposition or if teams sit really deep (which has always been the reason the title teams rarely play this system) but is effective in most other games. Definitely suitable and effective for a midtable aiming team, Leeds are showing exactly that.

In fact can take comfort from how well Leeds played last weekend going into the game on Sunday, although may have partly been due to the international break.

It'll be interesting reading back this thread in the new year once OG has settled and the players know what he's after. I'm still confident that he will be a good manager for us.

I am too, just worried he won't be here next year the way it is going.

Personally wouldn't want to push the Vitor/Cooper button until at least Feb/March if we're genuinely looking like going down. Hopefully, that is not something to worry about.

Wassy whats the word on the streets that you mention regards possible Vitor/Cooper return should OG trip over his playing system over the next few months?
I would hope we can start to claim some wins soon including at HOME! I think this is more down the players then the system OG prefers so I hope he puts some f**ks into the guys not performing at 100%.

Absolutely no inside knowledge, just that Cooper is currently working for Sky Sports and was previously mooted and Vitor obviously did a great job last year, not sure what he's doing atm. Either way hopefully irrelevant.

This is exactly the problem though, our next four home games are Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Brighton. Perfectly plausible we fail to win any of those and even lose all four. So fans like yourself will put undue pressure on about our home record, the media will start talking about how we haven't won at home yet and maybe even haven't scored until Chelsea. Then mistakes happen and we're back in the same cycle of short term appointments to save the season.

This exact scenario is what I hate most in football, the team is playing reasonably well yet people want immediate results and then you tear it up a potentially really strong situation and we start again. However, even if we did survive we will likely be without MGW in the following season so will be even tougher to manage.

JUST KEEP THE FAITH.

We are making chances and are having bad luck aswell. If we were losing and not creating chances I would be more worried.

Remain hopeful it will come good. The concern is that all 3 promoted teams have started better than us and there is no obvious nailed on relegation candidate to take the heat off.

Just a correction Wassy lad it was YOUR post I replied to in which you mention Vitor and Coops. I also said that I thought it was the players and NOT OG who needed to pull the fingers out at home as we have to go back many months since we last won in the PL at home.

It goes all the way back to Nuno's last 4 or 5 home games.

Not really how you worded it but sure.

Bit unfair to be upset about not winning at home during the summer though! Our last home win was Villa in the Europa League SF...

Wassy I included the cricket season as we were not so good at T20 or The Hundred

Is Glasner an elite coach then?

RE: Oliver Glasner - Welcome To Nottingham Forest - JollyLollyAussie - 18-10-2026

Not sur to what an "elite" coach is but for my take OG is nothing special or outstanding, OK yes but so was Vitor, Nuno and Coops.
