I am one of Vlachodimos biggest fans but it was a shit penalty to be fair.

I think he will start on Saturday.
With Turner not getting back into the UK until Friday, I think Coops will go with him on Saturday.

Funny how it's the identical situation which caused Horvath to get benched in the championship.

Turners confidence looks shot to me.

Vlachodimos must start against Villa.

Has too.
If he doesn’t start against Villa he never will.

RE: Our Goalkeepers - Salvatore Matrecano - 30-10-2023

Seen enough now to conclude Turner is not as good as either goalkeeper we had last season.

I am hoping Ody will prove to be class, yes he needs a chance now.

He absolutely needs to start.

I'm sick of us signing players that never feature. It's embarrassing and we are becoming a bit of a coin toss graveyard for some players.

It's the right time to do it, we need a momentum change and the poor performance means that there won't be as much pressure on Ody if he starts slowly. Also, a better un of fixtures over the next 10 games.

I only suggested that it might be time. I didn't say that Turner should be dropped, stripped of his squad number and sold so it's hardly harsh what I said.

I agree that Turner has done okay so far but that doesn't mean that somebody else couldn't have done better.

If he is a better keeper (I don't have any idea) then Turner might be struggling to keep his spot for much longer. He's done fairly well getting better each game......until yesterday.  Normally I'd say don't drop a player for one bad performance  but if a potentially better keeper is waiting in the wings then it could happen. Good management to have kept playing Turner, but be interesting going forward.

Its time I'd say.

RE: Our Goalkeepers - ozzyten10 - 30-10-2023

Turners distribution and footwork is very poor. As bad as Horvarth. He does have a decent throw and OK off his line and shot stopping. The defence do not trust him though which makes us rush clearances. Time for Oddy I think but have seen some dodgy reels of his - tends to punch when there is an easy catch.

RE: Our Goalkeepers - Paplane - 30-10-2023

The bad form with Turner started imo when he let the ball go through him for the goal in the Brentford game. He's been questionable since then. Its not anything big but he just looks unreliable. Ive lost confidence in him. And the third goal confirmed that for me yesterday.

Lol.

You’ve changed your tune: https://coyrforestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=1411&page=7

I told you all Turner was pony, it didn’t need ten games to work that out.

He will make the odd good save but he is not good enough for where we want to be.

RE: Our Goalkeepers - ozzyten10 - 30-10-2023

Not sure where I said he was any good. I also think 10 game samples are about enough to see a more rounded view. Also not convinced with Oddy but would like to think a champions league regular would be more composed.
