Our Goalkeepers
Turners footwork is too slow no matter where he receives the pass.

He also should have saved the header for their goal.

He also gave away a blatant penalty because of his slow footwork and he kicked the Brentford player instead.

The combination of those two mistakes (one which we massively got away with) might be enough to force the change.

It's a big call either way as the next game is likely to be very tight at Palace

FWIW I agree, I was just pointing out that others were below par as well.

I think Oddy is going to get his opportunity next weekend.

Watching lens v arsenal tonight and thinking we dropped a massive bollock with Samba. He has looked amazing with his feet - so calm and composed. Didn’t see the arsenal goal though so may be talking bollocks!

Depends which version you want to believe. Either Samba wanted to go back to France or Forest decided they were bringing in someone supposedly better. Or possibly both of these options are true.

Either way it is water under the bridge, Samba is a winner in the Champions League and Forest have 2 current full international goalkeepers. I hope at least one turns out to be quality in the PL.

Theoretically, we have 4 full international goalkeepers . Dont forget Hennesy is a Welsh international, albeit he has almost passd it now and Horvarth is back up for the yanks national side, not that he ever gets a look in!

I am pretty sure that he wanted to leave.

Most importantly though it's worked out good for both of us.

Samba now playing in the CL and Forest in the PL so everybody is happy or at least should be.

I’m happy - just think Samba was immense for us - especially in that semi final. He has gone on and done extremely well. So have we - just think he could have been part of that journey and we would have a 60m goalie on our hands…

I only suggested that it might be time. I didn't say that Turner should be dropped, stripped of his squad number and sold so it's hardly harsh what I said.

I agree that Turner has done okay so far but that doesn't mean that somebody else couldn't have done better.

If he is a better keeper (I don't have any idea) then Turner might be struggling to keep his spot for much longer. He's done fairly well getting better each game......until yesterday.  Normally I'd say don't drop a player for one bad performance  but if a potentially better keeper is waiting in the wings then it could happen. Good management to have kept playing Turner, but be interesting going forward.

Vlachodimos saved a penalty for Greece against Netherlands tonight.

I think he will start on Saturday.
With Turner not getting back into the UK until Friday, I think Coops will go with him on Saturday.
