Dont owners have to convert some of the allowable ffp loses into equity to stay within the rules? If they dont then they're only allowed to lose something like £5m a year? I may have that conpletely wrong.

Im sure some understand it far better than me but I believe Pap is correct. Clubs are allowed to lose £13m/yr over a rolling 3 year period but any losses above £5m must be covered by the owner. In other words if the loss is £13m the owner has to cough up a minimum of 8m (there is no maximum debt the owner can take on).
Its way more complex than that though I know compounded by Covid allowances and other factors. Anyhow the bottom line that EM is still supporting and indeed investing more into the club despite it losing a shed load of money year on year.

That’s not a dog at EM- he has continually invested or covered the shortfalls and has transferred debt to equity. His commitment should be lauded…

It is an entirely fair comparison.

The comparison I was making is ND rolled over debt and interest on the debt for his own benefit; EM, on the other hand, appears to be putting the clubs interest ahead of his own, by writing off debt

FFP has nothing to do with the subject matter; in fact it was not even introduced during Doughty's era - he was instrumental in FFP being introduced to the EFL, unfortunately he passed away before it was fully introduced in April 2012.

So why would ND have converted debt for equity when there was no need for him to do so? It wasn’t detrimental to the club whilst he was still the owner.

The manner in which the debt was accumulated was certainly detrimental to the Club.

#nffc want the EFL to lobby FIFA so that players contracted to Russian clubs can walk away from those contracts and sign elsewhere. Forest don’t have specific Russian players they would like to sign, they say, but feel it is an important matter of principle. ~ Rob Dorsett.

Where the hell has that come from? Why would lowly Nottingham Forest be pushing for that?

Because we are a compassionate club?

I have no problem with the message Tricks, its just why has this (excellent) idea come from us? Ive not heard it mentioned anywhere else.

No idea TBH Pap. Maybe Nick Randall has raised it as a case in law or summat?
