Heinze was meant to be a follower but he’s gone to Atlanta. It’s so refreshing to watch a team just trying to score. I take it you are watching the Leeds game as well  RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 29-12-2020 (29-12-2020, 03:58 PM)Mad Squad Wrote: I agree. Yeah, and great PR for the club, becoming one of the neutrals favourite sides to watch from being a club fans love to hate. Les give Chris some time and a couple of windows for christ sake. Agreed. he's proven in this league. Enough said. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - wassy04 - 30-12-2020 Another decent performance/result against a top 7 side last night. Another game where we made a stupid mistake and missed a bunch of decent chances. I'm not really sure what he's meant to do when Grabban just gifts them a goal. I get that its pretty turgid football and it would be nice to be more attacking but we knew that when we appointed him. I just think our squad is bang average. How many of these players would get in the Bournemouth or Norwich or Watford team? Worrall? Maybe a fit McKenna? That's it for me, this team is not great, and have suffered badly from losing its best two players from last season. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 03-01-2021 Chris stopped the bleeding and is now picking up points and putting a nice little unbeaten run together. Over the last 5 games we are 7th in the form table. Well done Chris. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - PsychoStanleyStone - 03-01-2021 would love see some sort of offensive coach come sports psychologist come set piece wizzo brought in to the mix, we are actually having most possession now, prior to Chris Hughton i think it was more than a year since we had won a game with most possession, now we usually control long periods of the game credit Chris Hughton, i think we have conceded less goals than most teams in the league, the fella Chris Hughton brought in on the goalkeeping side is working wonders with Brice Samba, some exceptional saves yesterday, at least 1 'Gordon Banks very strong hand at very close range, certain goal type rasper to deal with' .. which isn't easy after a seeming dip in form RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - zicorice - 03-01-2021 In the circumstances I think Hughton is doing a fantastic job of slowly turning us around. Anyone who expected an immediate turn around was being extremely optimistic to say the least. We were leaking goals at an alarming rate and toothless in attack. One part of this equation is looking like it's been addressed (3 games without a Figuerado "assist" too-credit where its due) and that is garnering an upturn in points gained. Hopefully, the platform at the back will help us to slowly improve our goals output. Still a long way to go, but reeling in likes of QPR Brum and Millwall is crucial and puts pressure on them now. A rational voice. Amen. Could have bomb squadded Figs over some of those assists but he took him out the firing line and rested him. He's come back stronger. Good coaching. Like wise. Put Mighten in...he got Forest a goal then oullled him out when his fitness told. Stuck with keeper and he pulls a Banksy. Sticks with Grabban. Computer clearance at the end and a goal. That's positive man management and coaching. Put that 2nd half at Stoke and the Preston 1st half together sprinkled with 3 January Hughton picks and we'll be competitive...and build upon the current pragmatic and necessary solid foundation of attritional football which is mandatory for the Championship. The recent stats back Hughton's pragmatic and patient approach. Some positive posts backing Chris. Time is what managers need. Chris is battle proven at this level. Ergo why Marinakis employed him. SA. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Strawberry Avenger - 04-01-2021 Oh and getting Sow back. Fit and playing in a more contained manner shows Hughton's wealth of experience. This has been key. I wonder if a similar transformation will benefit Luke... SA. The team was a holed and rapidly sinking ship when Hughton arrived. Calmly and methodically he’s begun to get it sea worthy again. |
