So its MGW for Cafu just a LWB short currently . RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Salvatore Matrecano - 14-09-2022 Ive not seen this confirmed but Cafu and Lyle Taylor not in our 25 man squad. Cafu has 1 day left to secure a move back to Greece. Suspect Taylor happy to sit and count his money. In defence of Taylor, why should he not hold tight? Not his fault the club have decided he's not good enough. RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Salvatore Matrecano - 14-09-2022 Not his fault I agree. Problem is that in my opinion he was never good enough. RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Sausage Roll - 14-09-2022 Squad list. This doesn't include U21s hence no Johnson. RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Jasper Scarrott - 15-09-2022 No great surprise that both Taylor and Cafu have been left out. Will always remember Cafu for coming on against Sheffield United and stepping up to take that penalty and to Taylor for those 2 late goals at Bristol that seemeed to turn our season around. Absolutely. Both have contributed to our sucess last season and so both should be given some respect. They're both far from bomb squad material. Apart from Arter I couldn't think of any player who didn't contribute at least something small toward the season in the League (though I'm sure I've missed some). Mbe Soh played the through-ball to Johnson to set up Taylor's goal vs. Coventry; Silva assisted Surridge's goal vs. Reading; even Bong assisted Johnson's goal vs. the sheep away. RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Sausage Roll - 15-09-2022 Long read from Percy about the squad and transfer window in the telegraph. Its the same process at most clubs Im sure but the complexity of doing that with 22 new players is something else. Also goes to show there is far more to it than just football. We have this expectation that new signings will fit in and start playing straight away but what you have is young lads in a foreign country, language and culture issues, new living arrangements, wives and girlfriends unhappy because they have uprooted their own lives, its all has to fit together to work. |
