RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Reds73 - 05-06-2026 (04-06-2026, 11:35 PM)ozzyten10 Wrote: No - I have pictures of the demolition area that includes many buildings outside the current footprint and an interesting infill of a certain water route that is next to a building that has just been sold for 5m!!!! Forest have recently bought that land RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Fumanchew - 05-06-2026 So I’ve seen a lot of people banging on that we’ve not done enough work to show how we will safely disperse the added numbers from the ground on matches days after a normal match or if something terrible were to happen and the place needed evacuating We all know the boat club needs moving as well Are we using this land to move the boat club and then any extras we had around the Peter Taylor stand and whatever we have behind Brian clough with some residential added in to facilitate the easy movement of the extra fans to and from the stadium on match day? RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Salvatore Matrecano - 05-06-2026 Yes seen the report from SAG and it raises a fair few questions. However we are paying Gleeds and KSS design millions of pounds to project manage this development therefore I am assuming they know whats needed to comply with planning regs. If they don’t and the application fails thats a different matter then Im sure they would look forward to the subsequent meeting with EM. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 12-06-2026 Bit in the Athletic today about the above and the concerns around extra traffic on matchdays, etc. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - optimistic_red - 12-06-2026 (12-06-2026, 08:43 AM)Sausage Roll Wrote: Bit in the Athletic today about the above and the concerns around extra traffic on matchdays, etc. Can't help but think the new bridge, Ladybay-Trent basin is in the wrong place, but I could be proved wrong. Ladybay bridge is closed/restricted to give pedestrians leaving the game opportunity to cross river, meaning all car traffic has to go over Trent bridge. Trent bridge is a free for all, 2 or 3 lanes from city to WB often full of pedestrians heading from game to city (me included). Ideally there needs to be more ways to cross the river near the ground. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Dog and Bear - 12-06-2026 There is always something that crops up in this never ending saga. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 12-06-2026 The biggest plus point of the current site - its location - is probably also its biggest drawback. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - ForestFire96 - 12-06-2026 I live locally and tend to get dropped off from Radcliffe Road. Always thought it was daft closing Lady Bay Bridge for repairs when there is a match on. That explains it :-) RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Fumanchew - 14-06-2026 Looks like there’s a new plan of action with deadlines for the start of October for a decision RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 03-07-2026 A few houses behind the Peter Taylor/John Robertson corner earmarked for demolition in September (pending planning permission being granted). RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Paplane - 03-07-2026 (03-07-2026, 11:51 AM)Sausage Roll Wrote: A few houses behind the Peter Taylor/John Robertson corner earmarked for demolition in September (pending planning permission being granted). There's two prior notification applications gone in. One for the houses that virtually touch the stand, and one for the two semis next to them. The club seems to own the first block, but there's no evidence they own the second. Presumably they've agreed a deal to buy these too. It's interesting that there's two applications gone in and not just one. The reason could be as simple as they just needed to serve notice on the owners of the second block, but not the first (as they own that), or it could be that the demo of the second block is more contentious and they didn't want to risk the entire application being being called in (ie refused). From snippets I've picked up it appears that there's a serious effort being made by the club to buy up as much property and land as possible that surrounds the stadium. I applaud it. It's something the club should have been doing for years and years now. Fawaz should have bought Rushcliffe Civic Centre, like Marinkas bought the Environment Agency building. How many of the houses on Colwick Road and Roseberry Ave have come on the market and then been sold since Doughty, Fawaz and Marinakis owned the club? I bet its dozens. If the club had a long term ambition to redevelop the stadium then these properties should have been purchased the moment they appeared on the market. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - jjmeemaa - 05-07-2026 100% agree Club are doing now what we’ve wanted for years and what other clubs have done to get their redevelopments through Buying land/.buildings / houses nearby makes so much sense but should’ve been done over decades as you said Palace and Liverpool have knocked down a lot more housing than we are proposing |
