Pretty successful first day for the new Chairman!

RE: Season Sponsors - nffc93 - 30-08-2023

The bloody outcry on Twitter about who the sponsor is. Some people must live a miserable life.

Glad the club are getting some investment, also glad I have my shirt without it on

Kaiyun Sports, “Asian digital sports platform” In other words a gambling site.

Not too fussed and if we held out for a good deal then well done. But all that stuff about FFP leverage and preferring a charity partner was nonsense wasn’t it?

Depends I suppose how much they have offered us to be front of shirt. Whilst disappointing its a gambling firm it could open up other opportunities for revenue from Asia. Could this also be funding the new arrivals meaning possibility of Johnson staying?

I presume we still don't have a replacement for Tyson Henly as it just says 'A club spokesperson says.....'

A lady from Greece came over to drive it.

They should've put that on the statement.

"A lady from Greece said 'We are delighted to have.....'"

So what if its a gambling company. Last time I looked gambling is still legal and all adults are free to do what they want with their money. Personally I don't gamble and have no interest in it so seeing it advertised on the front of a shirt it isn't going to change my mind. Just hope we got a good payment on it

I agree mate.

There is a bookies on every high street for Gods sake.

Also how Sky Sports and BT sports etc are full of betting adverts, how many people subscribe to those?

RE: Season Sponsors - wassy04 - 30-08-2023

I thought gambling companies weren't allowed to be sponsors after this season?

There is definitely a lot of hypocrisy from some people on this point especially considering you cannot even use this company’s products from the UK.
There is also a touch of hypocrisy from Forest about preferring to work with charities when they were really holding out for a higher offer from a sponsor.

There's also a fair bit of 'I don't care about it so why should anyone else?' which totally disregards the opinions of people (or the family/friends of) battling with gambling addiction.
