RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Paplane - 20-05-2023 Cooper deserves another shot with a fully fit squad, especially now he's taken my advice on how to set up! He mentioned that a better manager wasn’t available, not that Steve has his full backing. I do wonder if a change will be made in the summer regardless. He may have already made up his mind Aye I think it’s hard to take what he said not in his native language fully at face value RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Fumanchew - 20-05-2023 (20-05-2023, 10:51 PM)Paplane Wrote: Cooper deserves another shot with a fully fit squad, especially now he's taken my advice on how to set up! 3 months till the start of the season he’s worked with all the players now some over 1 window some over 2. If EM did flip the switch how long is it gonna take before the new managers appointed, how long is it gonna take them to get the feel of the squad? What if they hate 5 at the back and wing backs? It feels to much on a knife edge to make that decision without knowing whether that will lead us to finish higher then we do this season RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Plymouth red - 20-05-2023 (20-05-2023, 10:59 PM)Fumanchew Wrote:(20-05-2023, 10:49 PM)Paplane Wrote:(20-05-2023, 10:45 PM)RyanR Wrote: Marinakis’ Sky Sports interview was hardly reassuring about Cooper’s future. He may have already made up his mind We know the big man is passionate and I'm hoping that he meant he would not have found a better manager than cooper so why sack him. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - JWJW - 21-05-2023 Of course EM meant there was no one better than Cooper.........its a compliment. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 21-05-2023 EM: 'Many dialogues with Steve Cooper, some good and some bad'. 'I want us to win trophies'. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Tricky - 21-05-2023 Did i detect EM wiping his eyes at the end? If he did, it just shows how passionate he is about our club! Long may it continue, along with Steve Cooper : :

EM just needs to appoint a few more Sporting Directors so we've got some people to sack when we lose a few games next season! RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - RyanR - 21-05-2023 Funny how the perception of signings can change through a season. Whoever bought in Felipe and Danilo has got a real eye for a player. Funnily enough Syrianos was sacked for bringing in Awoniyi and Mangala, who have both proven to be immense players for us once they’ve adapted to the league. In many ways Mangala has been my unsung player of the season. I hope we start next season well enough to keep sacking speculation at bay, for both the manager and backroom team RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - northeastred - 21-05-2023 (21-05-2023, 09:39 AM)RyanR Wrote: Funny how the perception of signings can change through a season. Cordon in the past has hired Pellegrini, Jardim and Valverde. Cordon's first job will be to find a new coach for EM (for Olympiakos). RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ozzyten10 - 22-05-2023 And he can stay at Oly for the moment. 12 games in next year should be the next review of the managers performance - not a minute earlier. |
