RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 07-03-2020 I’m not interested in the lost cause bit. The point is what does the manager see in Diakarby and why does he persist with him? RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Madforit - 07-03-2020 Same can be said for Semedo. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 07-03-2020 Because Semedo has actually shown glimpses of what he can do? RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Madforit - 07-03-2020 It must have been a very short glimpse, on last night's showing he was sh#te, and nothing I have seen of him so far will prove otherwise, he is lazy. The sooner we can off load the likes of Diakhaby, Semedo and a few of the others the better, our scouting network is very poor compared to other teams in this league. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - jurgen rober - 07-03-2020 I think what has been proved over the last few matches is that our first choice team are decent and are good enough for at least the play-offs. The squad itself doesn't have sufficient depth in quality and by the look of the accounts, we couldn't really afford to go out and pay out large sums for top notch back-up. We have tried to make do with the least possible outlay hoping to get through in what is a notoriously inflated market in January. This leaves the option in the summer to spend on players needed for whichever league we are in. Sabri has had 2 transfer markets and it takes longer than that to assemble a decent squad with good depth. If we do not make the prem this season, there will be room to manouevre in the summer when more dead wood can be cleared and if necessary sell someone like Cash to enhance our squad. I think it was also unfair that at this time of the season when players have niggles and are starting to tire that we were asked to play 2 matches in the week when the other team have had a good weeks rest. I agree but like the 45 against Cardiff he has shown glimpses and the manager clearly recognised that. what has Diakarby done to deserve being involved? i think a large proportion of our loan signings have been poor to be honest. With our finances I doubt the Cash cash will be reinvested though. Totally agree, I can't see the club spending what is needed in the summer, I really think we will see them looking for players that are out of our reach and bringing in loans and freebies. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Strawberry Avenger - 07-03-2020 Like Martin O Neil before him, The Coach can only work with what's available to him. He has made some selection clangers. But he has Forest were they now sit. January didn't reinforce the DCM/ACM positions which, some might say, were well stocked. But it is precisely those positions that that dogged Forest in the absence of Sow or the underperforming investment in Car'. These aren't players you can pick up in January so easily. 'The players have reached their physical limit.' The Coach. Small squads are fine. But you thrash the ones you have over 46 games in the Championship. Sow. Silva. Grabban. Two are out. And 1 is being managed. That's most of the spine of the side. SA. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Username - 07-03-2020 The coach is part of the recruitment team. That's like saying "Grabban is part of the defense" because he's expected to do more than just score. Sab may have a say, but he's all on looking after the first team squad every week. It shouldn't be down to him to find better players. If it is, we should just scrap recruitment off & give Sab a free reign anyway, as he's proved the most capable out of this eras setup. |
