RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ozzyten10 - 05-10-2022 Also- communications at the club are crap. Well documented in a recent article. Percy obviously has been used to gauge opinion on cooper going and being replaced by Benitez which went down like a lead ballon. Or it could be a stroke of genius to get everyone on board in support of cooper. I’ve never felt more like giving a manager time than now. He has earned it. Have a look at the Newcastle forums if you want an opinion. Careful what you wish for as always. I'm backing whichever 11 on on the pitch and Cooper. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 06-10-2022 Not a great result for Oly today either. 0-3 home defeat against Qarabag. That sounds bad for whoever the coach is now over there. Think Sniff said it's Michel again. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 07-10-2022 Percy says Dane Murphy likely to stay now. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - PsychoStooge - 07-10-2022 Credit where it is due, I'd have been livid with the ownership had they binned Dane and Coops so keeping them and rewarding Cooper with a deserved new contract despite the poor start is the greatest show of confidence Cooper could've asked for. It was a big decision for Marinakis because it could well have defined the type of club we're gonna be for the next decade, we could've gone down the Watford sort of route, changing from manager to manager and style to style on a whim and never having anything to ever truly support or we can go down this route keep the identity that got us up and hopefully it'll bear fruit soon and for years to come. Keep backing them EM, other clubs in the Premier League will envy us having them two before long. Yep, I'm no Marinakis cheerleader, I judge his ownership based on what I see, good and bad, but this is a massive play by the guy and should be lauded if it comes off for him. I can only assume that the big man's taken some advice from those within the club and been persuaded to hold his nerve. It will give the entire club and fanbase a shot in the arm. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 10-10-2022 Very interesting long read about Marinakis by Dan Taylor on The Athletic. Doesn’t paint the best picture of stability within the club, although has clearly been written with some sort of an agenda. Would maybe be a good time for some positive noises and statements from key individuals at the club IMHO. |
