RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - Paplane - 13-03-2021 Ameobi was excellent today. Id honestly have him as an auto starter in my side. He was immense wasnt he. Hes one of those players who can be brilliant one game and utter garbage the next. So to renew or not? Agreed I'd also start with Taylor RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - Salvatore Matrecano - 13-03-2021 (13-03-2021, 07:38 PM)Madforit Wrote:(13-03-2021, 07:31 PM)Paplane Wrote: Ameobi was excellent today. I thought Murray faded 2nd half but he scored one ( I know it was og but he forced it) and was very unlucky not to have scored with the flick 1st half. Taylor constantly looks put of position to me, I dont think he would have got on the end of Ameobi’s cross. The dilemma is more Grabban for me, he has more quality, just dont think his heart is in it anymore. RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - ThePromisedLand - 13-03-2021 I’ll be glad when this season is over - it can’t come quick enough for me. Results / performances are getting so bloody predictable - just not good enough. The quicker that CH gets to ‘reset’ the squad the better. Bring on next season - with ‘sold out’ notices at the WFCG. RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - TheGreenMan - 13-03-2021 Yeah absolutely no problem with the defence at all, I’m not one for the fascination of keeping clean sheets. If you concede only one goal a game all season it’s still only 42 goals conceded a season which ain’t that bad to be honest. We just need a manager who knows how to go for a second/third/fourth goal and plays higher up the pitch taking it to the opposition who are fairly equal.... RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - Salvatore Matrecano - 13-03-2021 Do you think its the managers fault though? IMO the quality isnt there up front to score the 2nd although we had a few decent chances today. Reading really pushed us back at the end but we dont have enough pace on the break to punish them when we win possession back nor do we have a cutting edge. You can pick apart one goal conceded but if you let a team repeatedly attack you they will eventually score. It doesn't have to be a mistake or poor play every time we concede. (Although in this case Samba messed up) If the other team has loads of chances that increases the chances of a mistake happening. Excellent squad player and useful starter on his day RE: Nottingham Forest - Reading - Madforit - 13-03-2021 (13-03-2021, 07:43 PM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote:(13-03-2021, 07:38 PM)Madforit Wrote:(13-03-2021, 07:31 PM)Paplane Wrote: Ameobi was excellent today. Why not Taylor, I'd rather see us start a game with Taylor up front than Murray, as you have stated Murray faded in the 2nd half, I feel that with Taylor he would offer more than Murray, I think Murray's age is a factor, also I think Murray is best suited to come off the bench in say the 60th minute to batter down the opposition and get his head on the and of something, just my opinion. Personally, I'd be happy if Grabban, Taylor and Murray all left and he had a couple of new strikers for next season. |
