Samba should have punched the ball away though that led to Derby's goal no matter what. RE: Brice Samba - Mad Squad - 07-07-2020 This ^^ If he had punched the ball away then the ref would have blown his whistle to end the game. RE: Brice Samba - Username - 07-07-2020 Easy from our armchairs. I’ve just watched it back again and think had he punched it from his standing position it would have gone straight up in the air or behind for a corner as he was under the ball. That would have been better! RE: Brice Samba - tugger2018 - 07-07-2020 Good list Paplane But I disagree I would have Samba at least in number 3 position now if not higher Just my opinion tho RE: Brice Samba - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 06-12-2020 (05-07-2020, 09:35 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote:(08-03-2020, 02:32 PM)Derby My Arse Wrote: Is it just me or have we overhyped Samba a bit? We are 5 months further down the line now since the comments above ^^ I am still far from convinced by Samba. I know some won't agree and you'll defend him and that's fair enough but I wouldn't be against signing a new number 1 in January. That might sound harsh but that's how I see it. Plus I remember Sabri dropping him at the end of last season (he wasn't injured). He was turning up late for training and displaying a far too laid back attitude for Sabri's liking. I won't beat about the bush. I don't rate him. RE: Brice Samba - Long John - 06-12-2020 I don’t rate him either never have. Yes he has good feet but teams will target him because he can’t catch and doesn’t command his area. Partly to why we conceded so many last season from set pieces. but unfortunately he is still the best we have. He lives off a couple of saves made in the match against Leeds. Fully agree Sniff. When he first came, he was very good. But he has slipped up far too many times now. He just doesnt seem mobile or nimble enough. I don't know what is wrong with him, I just cant put my finger on it RE: Brice Samba - Username - 06-12-2020 Kept us in a few games this season, easily forgotten. It’s inevitable that when you come under such continuous pressure and the fact that a clean sheet is pretty much life or death for us at the moment that you’ll make mistakes. He’s not perfect but for me he’s the best number one we’ve had since Crossley. Made a mistake yesterday which would have led to a goal if Yates hadn’t got himself sent off. His form hasn’t been the best recently, like the rest of the team. However, he’s still the best keeper we’ve had in a long time. RE: Brice Samba - Salvatore Matrecano - 06-12-2020 Best since Crossley ? That would make him better than Beasant for one, he is nowhere near that. The ability is there and he has been outstanding at times but he drives me mad at others, he has the body language of someone who cant be arsed. Maybe thats just his way but the first goal yesterday was right up there with the Paul Smith special collection of cross stopping. RE: Brice Samba - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 06-12-2020 In my view he's not even better than Lee Camp. |
