Forest are overdue any kind of run. (Had they had any kind of run at any point, they'd be firmly lodged in the top 6.)

In reply to the thread title I think we will have a much clearer idea after our next 2 games.
We have 2 tough away games in the next 5 days.
If we can somehow manage to pick up 4 points (big ask) then we will be right in the thick of it.
On the other hand 2 defeats (god forbid) and it will sadly be season over.

2-2. Forest bossed this one. Still 5 points. I think we CAN take Boro' for the last place. Just need to beat them and eat up one of their games in hand.
Forest are already seeming a different proposition under Martin and Keane.

Bristol City are on some huge roll now which surely has to come to an end, talk about being helped by another poor ref last night tho.
Five points behind Middlesbrough but they do have 2 games in hand, one of the games tonight against Sheff utd so could be interesting.
Think it will be Derby who will move into the top 6 tonight, unless Ipswich can do us a favour. So at a guess we will be 7 points behind top six with all the top 6 teams to play an extra game in hand.
Still think it is to much to ask to get top 6 as we need a points run of 2.07 a game. And the current points rate has 6th place looking like being a massive 78 points required. On the plus side we only need one more win to have the required points to avoid relegation.

We should have won ALL of those games instead of drawing them all, that would have given us 8 more points.
In ALL of those 4 games the referee cheated us. (Figs sending off at Villa).

They say bad decisions even themselves out over a season but unless we get some massive calls in the next few games to win it then I think that myth is put to bed. 8 points is huge in this league and to be taken away because the people in charge of the game can't do their job is unforgivable.

We have had a number of game changing decisions go against us definitely however if you ever read opposition fans match reviews I bet in most of our wins this season you will find they reckon their team was robbed by a biased ref. Its just how we are now we can analyse every kick in retrospect.
The one that really annoyed me was Norwich. All the others you can say the ref just called the decisions rightly or wrongly as he saw them in that instant. Adding 2 minutes extra play? Thats making the rules up as you go along.

Just looking into the old crystal ball, I see Brentford beating Villa, Ipswich beating Derby, Leeds losing to Swansea, Preston beating Norwich but ending up with 9 men on the pitch due to inujuries and a couple of late red cards, Sheff U and Boro drawing
Agree we could do with a few wins

Villa lose to Brentford, Ipswich draw against Derby who got 4 bookings, Norwich lose at Preston, Boro lose at Sheff U and have Ayala sent off
