The MGw bit I agree with particularly around set pieces and I would like to see him playing further forward and taking chances as he did for Sheff Utd.
Wood and Origi…..hmm…. Not convinced but at least get more bodies in the box for Wood to play to his strengths.

I agree that we should be getting more out of what we have - particularly mgw who seems to have let his success in the summer go to his head. However, as for the two strikers on the bench. Neither have shown they deserve to start. Now you could point finger at systems and coaching but regardless, the players themselves need to look like they give a shite.
Plus, dismissing taiwo's injury as a lazy excuse is underestimating how pivotal a player of that nature is to Cooper's style of play. We saw how transformative we were in the championship with Davis (when he was fit) and the same with taiwo. It's not just goals he brings. He is nightmare for defenders, creates space for others and holds up play. Without him at the end of last season we are already in the championship.
The biggest mistake was not finding a player of his nature to step in when taiwo is injured.
Now, you can criticise the fact that cooper has one style of play... and beyond that his limitations are clear. He has tried to change formation; he has tried to play more possession based. Neither has worked that effectively But I would not be dismissive of how significant taiwo's injury is. For me it comes down to a manager who has limitations tactically combined with scattergun recruitment - especially up front.

Anyone with half a brain could have told our coach that Taiwo will not play in 50% of our games this season so why are we now so reliant on him? It should never have come to this point.
If our coach doesn't think Wood is good enough or if he cannot find the way to get the best out of him then why did he splurge 15M quid on him in January.
We need answers.

Danilo and Sangare can play much higher.
Wood gets lots of stick but he needs the right service.

I do wonder where that guy that scored loads of goals in the championship has gone though. He just seemed much more incisive that season before we bought him.
Inexplicable he chose to pass with a clear sight of goal 2nd half. Loss of confidence?
Perhaps, but you can't have you're record signing not producing anything in attack other than a penalty this season

Origi has always stolen a career, couldn't even produce in Italy. Wood was signed as an able backup, a role he's fulfilled for years. Why we didn't sign Iheanacho idk, binning Dennis was mental given our lack of options and as others have said, I'd have surridge back tomorrow compared to that Belgian duffer

Our manager didn't pick them when they were here.
