I am 100% sure the team will go to another level once Januarys transfer business has been concluded (assuming we get our targets). I am putting it out there now (so please check back at the end of the season) that we WILL make the play-offs, anybody's game from that point then!

Got to say I fancy us too. Best not to think about it!

✋stop.
One game at a time. My neurotic baseless and totally ridiculous superstitious side has already placed all of the blame for the Fulham result on various posters talking about possible playoffs/ next 6 games etc...I even felt guilty buying my Reading tickets so early (due to only 2200 available). Not picking them up though till week of the game to try and negate.

Sheffield Utd on Tuesday....nothing else.

Or am I proper losing it PSS style?(no offence)

Colback's cathartic goal celebration.

Well.  The faultlines that were there in the side prior to Steve Cooper are still there.  He's taken them up a gear and instilled some belief and positivity.

But to close the quality gap on Fulham (a self inflicted result that flattered them...) will probably take 2-3 signings from outside and at least 'time' for the coaching to be instilled into them.

As a journey?  It's a great start.  And QPR have had a hold of Warburton for some time now...whilst Steve has been here 'mere' while.  I'd say on last night's performance, we eclipsed them. Out of the two. Forest looked/seemed more like a top 6 side?

A remarkable acid test of current progress.

I’ve watched it back on Sky and they were both clear pens. Not sure what game Lee Hendrie was watching but it seemed like had an anti NFFC bias because the studio at half time were unequivocal in their thoughts that they were both pens.

I can’t help but feel we have lost our attacking threat from our two full backs compared to how they were earlier in SCs reign. I can’t put my finger on why but the number of goals they were involved with compared to now, there is a marked change?

I didn’t really feel the subs worked for us this time but this Team doesn’t seem to give up.

I have to say that I’m really beginning to turn into a big fan of Steve Cooper, the way he talks, what he demands and his mentality are all excellent.

I really hope he is given the proper tools to have a crack at making a push for the top six come January.

The point about full backs could be two factors

A) opposition managers adjusting tactics to counter threat and/or
B) quality of opposition generally being tougher over past couple games compared to first few fixtures

Both id say. Warburton changed his formation last night apparently to deal with us.

Flattery indeed from Mr. Warburton Plan A.

18 points.  Considering the train wreck start to the season?  A small wonder to be sitting mid-table poised for...who knows?

I'd like Forest to turn Sheff Utd over.

But Bong!

Forest have unfinished business to do in the next transfer window.

*Looks at LB.  CH.  CM.  Striker.

Meanwhile Sheep fans were spouting off about selling out at a ground 2 train stops away for their sponsored run.

Apparently, we have the highest average away support in the Championship so far this season.

Immense.

We'd probably top Sheff U for home fans if the start to the season hadn't been poor.

(30-10-2021, 09:37 AM)zicorice Wrote: Positives
-Good point away, great point in circumstances.
- 1st half football was impressive.
- Colback and Yates continue to be superb together.
- Attitude mentality and effort faultless.
-Positive subs as is now the norm.
-Sold out away end on a Friday night on TV-incredible.
-Joe Lolley was outstanding ran himself into the ground too.
-Spence is some player with unreal athleticism.
-Was hard not to enjoy the game
even if we hadn't got the deserved equaliser.
-That feeling of pride of what we are watching is back after a couple of years of hard watching.
-Should still be top of away attendance averages after 1500 at Brizzle and almost 3k last night. Shame only 2200 allowed at Reading as I fancy we could sell 4k for that on a Saturday.

Negatives
-Final ball was mostly not quite right today.
-Set pieces were mostly woeful.
-The goal came just after our own corner.
-Ref was not very good. With VAR 2 definite pens. With naked eye one stonewall. ,(Spence one only clear when I saw it in replays on TV).
-McKenna was superb in front of Steve Clark so will continue risking injury being dragged away on international duty with the Jocks.

Tough game Tuesday thats for sure. You reds.

An enjoyable nail gun summary.

Got to work on those set pieces and the final ball.  We could have buried them.

Not my place to tell people what to mention ot nor mention. Don't be dragged into my stupidness.

Truth is simple if we play well (with current bonus of being easy on the eye) and get a bit of luck with injuries/decisions it can only lead to good outcomes and good feelings.
