Yes but McGuane is injured and the other 4 are out on loan so how can he play them?
To be fair to Hughton he's played Mighten, Swan and Soh.
It is good to get players out on loan experiencing first team football, albeit in the lower leagues, but it is not absolutely vital for all players.
It can be good for players to experience the speed and physicality of playing in L1 and L2 but that has to be balanced against losing elements of control were development is concerned.
It is interesting that Johnson was sent out on loan and Mighten was not; Mighten has blistering pace - you can imagine that a L1 manager would be tempted to get players to constantly hit balls over the top for him to use his pace.
That is the exact opposite to what he is experiencing at first team level, where he is learning what his other responsibilities are.
It may be that Swann would benefit more from what Mighten is experiencing.
Getting the right experience is more important than any experience.

You may well be correct Oz - he has done well.
But - if as seems likely - we have to again sell one of the Crown Jewels who do you think might be on his way?
Obvious candidates - if we are to get anywhere near 7 figures - are surely Worrall & Mighten?
I’m not for selling either - just looking at possible scenarios.

First of all that is a very valid point JCK makes about getting the right experience for Mighten.
As to who could leave TPL is suspect it is more of where a player is in their development. I suspect we will have to sell not just to balance books but I think we all agree a new striker is a must in the summer. Mighten could fetch 5M now but I doubt much more, keep him a year or two more then who knows. Johnson similar Im pretty sure Forest want to keep him at all costs at least for next season. Possibly the deciding factor will be if a player wants to leave if an offer comes in. We all know Joe loves Forest but if there is an 8 figure offer from lets say Southampton or similar level I think he would want to go.

Personally I would go all out to keep Worrall, Johnson and Mighten at all costs.
I am hoping that if CH wants then moving out Carvalho and Grabban might be enough. If it's not then perhaps we should add Figs to the list as he would command a fee. Failing that I wouldn't be against selling Samba if it meant keeping Worrall, Johnson and Mighten at the club.

You'd get decent money for Car, Grab' and Fig altogether. They're pretty much past their best in a Forest shirt. If we could get £6 million + for them we could have money to spend on a striker there. We could pick up a CH 'just as good or better' than Figs on a free or on loan. (Figs is just a 'back up' CH in my view. He wouldn't play if both Worrall and McKenna were fit.). I think we could pick up a better CH leader with more experience and nastiness. And Car'? I think Krov' has more than replaced him. Krov' plays with a smile, like he wants to be here, gets stuck into the action. And he's just picked up his 1st goal. Links the Cafu/Garner triangle pretty well. We try again for him on loan or pick up someone as good or better. Supplement with Brennan.
Keep Worrall. Johno. Mighten. Yates. They're all part of what we're trying to do to add some Nottingham(!) spirit to the side. 3 of those are still developing. Worrall has just about come of age now. He's the business.

Surely it just depends on what offers come in. Randall heavily implied we didn't need to sell but if a team comes in with a silly offer in this market we still sell.
I do think it's worth considering the fact that this season will not be a sellers market, there won't be much money out there. Teams will be desperate to get rid of players on big contracts. Perhaps it would make sense to not sell anyone this summer with a view we could potentially sell for much more next summer if things have improved in the world.
Also probably applies to transfers in, might be worth going big on some younger players this summer that we can get for cheaper than pre covid. Specifically targeting clubs that are struggling financially.

That does not sound like they are preparing the fans for bad news in the form of a high profile departure

Yeah although devil's advocate, could be a message to Burnley etc saying if you want Worrall, you have to pay a proper fee.
Did not see it that was personally but we'll see. I think it does suggest if we did sell someone it would be to enhance our spending power rather than to meet ffp specifically. (Hopefully)
