Blackett not so sure. You’re talking out your arse mate, Taylor, Ioannou, Colback, Arter, Soh and Christie look crap on paper. RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Plymouth red - 28-10-2020 Get the feeling with a few that we have signed them on the basis of what they were doing 2 or 3 years ago and have ignored that many have struggled for game time or form since then. More hope than expectation that they would rediscover their form. RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Long John - 28-10-2020 I was really hopeful at the start of the season and liked most of our signings. But if certain players such as Ribeiro, one of our better players last season, can’t get a look in, there has to be outside involvement from the owner on the first team. I think CH is the right man for the job 100%. But it does make you start to ask certain questions of the people at the top. Where is he? Where is the leadership? Where are we heading? RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Salvatore Matrecano - 28-10-2020 Well Ioannou is now out for the next 3 games. In my opinion Ribeiro is the best LB at the club. If he isnt in the squad for the next game I will conclude that something has gone off behind the scenes. Read into the reasons what you wish. Lol There isn’t a chance that Chris Hughton would risk his considerable reputation by coming to a club in chaos. I do think its a positive that Hughton came but also I'm not sure Hughton would necessarily be able to see some of these issues before signing RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 29-10-2020 I think that is a bit of an insult to Hughton's intelligence. He would have spoken to people and he would have been fully aware if there were serious problems behind the scenes. The truth is that there are no serious problems and no chaos but one or two little teething problems that you get in every business and every football club. I said exactly the same to a mate last night. Particularly if Blackett is injured, Ribero is the only alternative and I agree is the best LB at the club. Ioannou may be able to cross but has looked out of his depth - we'll see on Saturday. We've all taken jobs that haven't lived up to expectation, it's not uncommon! I dont think its an insult to suggest that Hughton might find things he doesn't like or expect at some point. I'm not criticising the ownership although I don't really like the sound of their management style personally. Its not a defining issue though and if the staff performs then these practises will be justified. I won't be openly dismissing claims from a respected journalist and ex players either though. I'm sure they are based in some fact and he's releasing them because he thinks it will help. Consider me respectfully on the fence :D RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-10-2020 Think there is a massive difference in that Hughton has been appointed manager, a proper experienced assistant in Paul Trollope and a no nonsense coach in Stephen Reid. None of those 3 are going to take any crap. Let them manage the first team with proper support from the hierarchy and we will be fine. RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - Alf - 29-10-2020 I'll be AMAZED if Ribero gets a look in at any point. RE: Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him? - ThePromisedLand - 29-10-2020 Well - if he doesn’t - who is making that decision? I doubt it would be Hughton. |
