I guess the poorly timed covid outbreak combined with Worrall and Soh injuries in week 1, Tutu injury week 3 and Bong/Gabriel suspended has made it just too difficult to cope with. Has made it too difficult to tread water till the end of August.
I think after those injuries/suspensions in week 1 it was a pretty poor call to not push harder to get a left back in. Even if we did still sign Buchanan later on.
I'll keep saying it on here. Its a disastrous decision to go cold turkey on this new approach. It feels like a decision made by someone who is a complete novice.
Why hasnt Dane run his numbers on todays game and predicted what will happen with nothing at both full back positions, no ball player in midfield and head n kick it Figs in defense? You dont need a super computer to calculate it would end in a defeat.
In his defense, the Garner one has dragged on longer than they clearly anticipated which hasn't helped. The injuries/suspensions when we're so short are unlucky too.
I hope Garner signs after all this waiting... :/

regards recruitment i think signing Garner is a mistake, i know we are desperate and might be slightly better than what we got but that might only because he stopped our players pushing on last season
regarding unmitigated disasters, if we are going to lose we might as well lose by 4 and show some intent, we played some great intricate football on the edge of our D though it was more hot potato football, impressive mind, we could play well up the pitch a bit, try and score, but concede and this is an unmitigated disaster
so if we are all in on unmitigated disasters lets go down all guns blazing eh? but that would be an unmitigated disaster, we can only endure the unmitigated disaster of relegation if involving slow drip torture by 1 nil losses?
I don't think Garner will be any help to us, i hope he goes elsewhere, if we are going down we might as well blood our own players

He won't do it just on his own. We have been linked with the Reading CM. And others.
Nah. The lose by '4' thing will crush you faster than anything. The games have been tight so far. Only losing by 1 goal. Goal difference counts. Especially in the Championship.
We had Warburton. Many wanted him out. He's going great guns at QPR.
A bad team is torture. No matter the manager. Clough couldn't keep this team up.
We can't forget the last 20 years and pretend that recruitment hasn't been an ongoing disaster.
Players win you games. They provide the excitement.
If you have good ones.
I'm still smarting from losing Martin O'Neil. You can tell, eh?

SA i hope you have a pleasent evening and enjoy the rest of your weekend, if you want to hear what a losing manager should feel like listen to Nigel's interview post Bradford, not that he should come here, not now it would be career suicide. You don't think CH though is killing the game as an entertainment spectacle? I really don't mind losing 6 nil if i can take a few positives from the game, i disagree about the 1 nil thing i think it's crushed the life out of the players.

I don’t gee idea that the games have been tight. Ok we lost by one goal but they were goals we could all see coming... we’ll all except the one person that matters.
Our recruitment team could sign a whole new team but whilst we have a clown who can not seem to see what everyone else does then we are screwed.
He thought we were good in the first half today.
He thought we had momentum against Bournemouth after they had taken the lead.
He couldn’t see us losing vs cov when it was only a matter of time. Christ the way we played sitting off and inviting them on... they had to score. A better team would have had 4.
He thought we were good against Blackburn... we were awful.
Each team we have played, including Bradford, have had excellent teams, excellent managers, been well organised and well structured... these are the words of our manager. I mean does he fill the players heads with this crap... that everyone is great.
Games are tight when you are unlucky to lose. When your fight to the end, when you create chance after chance and a keeper has a blinder. not when you finally buckle to the immense pressure you invite or just refuse to attack.
Nah the recruitment may be shit but with a bit of intent from the manager we would have at least 2 points by now.
