Don't worry you are all safe. Thanks for taking the time to explain yourselves.

However whenever you can we would all like to see a post or two from you all even if it's just one or two per month. Cheers.

Thanks mate.

Much appreciated!

Did you know only 2 teams have lost less games than us
And only 2 teams have conceded less than us
But 16 have scored more than us
Therein lies the problem

When going onto this forum you know it has good relevant contributions and some with inside knowledge. Some  sites are full of unfunny posts which are supposed to be comic but complete nonsense. Others contain contributors trying to show off about how smart they are but have nothing interesting in them. It would be a shame to see this site go the same way.

That is not happening mate. Ever.

I think the main difference between our forum and the others is that ours actually gets worked on and moderated. If forums are left to run themselves then they end up in a mess. We are lucky because I have the time and I have the passion to work on this forum and to keep it well moderated.

Sometimes I need a bit of help though and the best way for people to help is to post.

Also I am not in it for profit, if I was then our forum would be full of ads like the others. I do it because I love Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Nice words. Lets get behind Sniffer. COYR.

There are plenty of people who don’t get to games and still contribute that shouldn’t be an issue, plus there is the whole ale house side of the forum to discuss anything from gardening to politics to computer gaming.

when I mentioned it elsewhere I was referring to the near 860 posters that are registered and never made one single post. That’s a huge number of people watching / reading and after all it’s a forum not a newspaper.

Exactly ^ Well said Username.

That is why I made this thread. Surely if someone has time to read the forum then they also have time to write something every now and then?

Living in Greece I also don't get to many games but I am the most opionated and the number one poster in terms of the number of posts on the forum.

Brilliant. At least we know who to blame if it goes pear shaped tomorrow.....

I think the other two Forest forms (no need to mention them) have been going for about 15 years and have thousands and thousands of members but they only have the same small percentage of posters posting the same boring in jokes over and over again. I would say around 20 posters on one and about 50 on the other one (just guessing).

Here at COYR we have much less members because I think the forum is only about 18 months old but more regular posters and definitely much better content by far than the other two. If we can help Sniffer/Duncan out a bit more by getting even more of the regular readers to post and contribute a bit more then this place will take some stopping.

They’re only jokes if they’re funny Jasper.

That's a lot of posters.  But they registered are 'participating' in the browsing capacity that the internet mainly is.  They might like watching people dance but not feel like dancing themselves.

It is a forum.  But the internet is very much a reading (and some might say passive...) medium.  Though FaceBook and YouTube are very much more interactive mediums.  The weight still seems on the browsers rather than creators.

It's easier to browse...it takes more effort to do or say anything.

Not only are you doing a very good job running this forum your contributions are amongst the most interesting. Because of our ownership and yourself living in Greece you often get wind of interesting developments before they break in Nottm. I will make the effort to contribute more but want to keep it relevant and not just for the sake of it.
